The Carolina Panthers were eliminated from postseason contention several weeks ago. However, they will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 18 as the defending Super Bowl champions fight for seeding in the NFC. But with the Buccaneers already clinching the NFC South and no chance at the No. 1 seed, it remains to be seen how much (or if at all) the starters will play with the playoffs just around the corner.

To get you ready for this NFC South matchup, here is everything you need to know from an NFL betting perspective along with our NFL picks going into Week 18.

Take a look at Panthers vs Buccaneers odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Panthers vs. Buccaneers Matchups

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans vs. Panthers CB Keith Taylor: Evans is now the clear-cut No. 1 receiver in Tampa Bay with Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin gone. He should be in for a big game against one of the most banged-up secondaries in the league entering Week 18.

Buccaneers RT Tristan Wirfs vs. Panthers EDGE Haason Reddick: Reddick has had back-to-back seasons with at least 11 sacks, but he will have a tall task ahead of him on Sunday against one of the NFL’s best right tackles.

Panthers WR D.J. Moore vs. Buccaneers CB Carlton Davis: Moore has had a nice season, but quarterback play has hurt him again. He needs 95 total yards to go over 1,200 yards for a third consecutive season.

0-6: The Panthers are 0-6 SU and ATS in their last six games.

9-1: The Buccaneers are 9-1 in their last ten home games.

-76: The Panthers have a point differential of -76 this season.

Panthers vs. Buccaneers Moneyline

With it still being unknown who is in and who is out for the Buccaneers, there is just no way to safely bet on the moneyline this week. Tom Brady has said that he would like to play, but does that mean he will play the entire game or just a few drives? And how hard will the Panthers compete after losing five straight games and with the offseason just a week away?

Expect Brady to start the game, but for the Buccaneers to be cautious here. For that reason, pass on the moneyline in favor of the point spread as this game is just far too risky to bet on.

Panthers vs. Buccaneers Point Spread

The Buccaneers are 8-point favorites in this game on most betting sites and that feels about right. These two teams did meet just two weeks ago and the Buccaneers won 32-6 on the road. But given that this is the last game before the playoffs and all of the injuries Tampa Bay has going into Week 18, it wouldn’t be a surprise if several starters were benched or saw their snaps limited.

For that reason alone, take the Panthers +8 (-110) on DraftKings as Sam Darnold has one last showcase game for the franchise before heading into the 2022 offseason.

Panthers vs. Buccaneers Totals

Like many of the other point totals this week, we have another low one here between the Panthers and the Buccaneers. This one sits at 41.5, which feels very low. However, it’s important to remember that there were only 38 total points scored in the previous meeting between these two teams.

Carolina’s offense has been one of the worst in the NFL this season as they have not scored more than 21 points in a game since Nov. 14. This is one of the least explosive offenses in the NFL and it doesn’t feel like this is the week they get back on track. Take the Under 41.5 points (-110) on FanDuel and expect a 20-17 type of game in Tampa Bay with the under ultimately hitting here in Week 18.
