Top 5 Ja'Marr Chase Prop Bets To Back & Odds For Super Bowl 2022

Bill Speros | 10 mins

Cincinnati WR Ja’Marr Chase was taken by the Bengals in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, despite the cries of the so-called “experts” who wanted the Bengals to choose an offensive lineman to help protect QB Joe Burrow. It appears the Bengals made the right call, given that they will be representing the AFC in Super Bowl 56 Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. So how should you wager on the Bengals’ top receiver in The Big Game? Let's take a look.
Books are awash in wagers backing Chase to go over his receiving total of 78.5 yards. Chase and Burrow played together at LSU. That connection carried over to the NFL seamlessly. During the regular season, Chase led the Bengals with 81 catches and 1,455 yards receiving. He’s the NFL betting favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, which will be announced Thursday night in Los Angeles.
Chase’s NFL odds have him as a value play to win Super Bowl MVP. He is +1600 at BetMGM to win that honor. Meanwhile Chase is +110 anytime to score a touchdown on Sunday.

Ja’Marr Chase, Over 78.5 Yards Receiving
Odds: -110 at FanDuel ➜
BUZZ: Serious amounts of cash have flowed toward this prop, with the masses backing Chase to go over the total. During the postseason, Chase has been stellar and his connection with Burrow is among the most successful in the NFL. Chase has amounted to 30.7% of the total yards receiving for the Bengals this season.
Burrow's passing total Sunday is 276.5. That would put Chase at 82.95 yards, above this total. Chase has gone over this total in four of the last five games in which the Bengals played their starters. But the Chiefs held him in check in Cincy’s 27-24 win. It might be hard to stop the tidal wave here.

Ja’Marr Chase, Under 5.5 Total Receptions
Odds: +120 DraftKings ➜
BUZZ: Chase has finished with 5 or fewer catches 12 times in 20 games this season. And in four more games, he finished with six catches. So this one is going to be close. Given those numbers, we’ll go with the value here on the under at +120. Especially given the pressure the Rams are expected to apply on Burrow.
While Chase will be his first look, the Rams will likely take that away. Chase has 22% of the Bengals’ catches this season. Burrow's projected total is 24.5 completions, so that leaves Chase with 5.39 catches if the trend holds.

BUZZ: We’re a “no” in both markets here. Chase tied Joe Mixon for the team lead in TDs in the regular season with 13. But he’s scored in just three of the Bengals' past nine games (including the postseason) and was kept out of the end zone by the Raiders and Titans.
The Bengals will face a similar defense and coverages Sunday. Cincinnati will likely look for Tee Higgins or Mixon in close. The lone caveat is a breakaway strike from Burrow.
LIFE AFTER TOM: Buccaneers Next QB Odds & Best Bets
Ja’Marr Chase, Over 26.5 Yards Longest Reception
Odds: -115 at DraftKings ➜
BUZZ: Chase has beaten this number in 12 of his 20 games this season. This is the perfect hedge against Chase not scoring, given the big arm of Burrow, the speed of Chase, and the deep connection the QB and WR share, going back to their days together at LSU.
Jalen Ramsey was beaten by Mike Evans on Brady’s final TD pass, a 55-yard strike late in the fourth quarter. Chase is quicker than Evans and likely to have at least one monster grab for more than this total.
