Swansea City have had a host of high-profile managers in recent seasons while they were in the Premier League and Championship. Brendan Rodgers, Graham Potter and Steve Cooper are just some of the men who have taken charge at the Liberty Stadium before moving on to bigger and better things.

Russell Martin left for Southampton this summer, with Michael Duff replacing him. However, the former Barnsley manager was sacked in December, with Swansea sitting 18th in the Championship table after taking just 21 points from 19 games at the time.

Football betting sites are offering a Next Swansea City Manager betting market, with Nathan Jones and Chris Davies among the early favourites to take charge. However, after it appeared Notts County boss Luke Williams was the favourite to take the role, it is now Manchester United assistant coach Eric Ramsay who is the odds-on favourite to take the job.

Chris Davies Among Favourites to Replace Duff

Some Swansea City fans will remember Chris Davies as a coaching assistant to Brendan Rodgers at the Liberty Stadium. Rodgers was in charge of the Swans between 2010 and 2012 and guided the Welsh outfit to the Premier League in that time, with Davies working as part of the backroom staff, and it appears as though the latter could now be considered for the main role if the latest odds with UK betting sites is to be believed.

The latest betting odds suggest Davies has a reasonable chance of managing Swansea, with the coach having worked under Rodgers at Leicester City until the latter was removed from his post earlier this year. Davies was previously a promising football player before injury cut short a potential career, and he instead went down the coaching route. He's currently working as the senior assistant coach to Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur.

The big question would be whether he would consider leaving Spurs after his recent appointment at the London club. The odds with new betting sites suggest that a switch could be on the cards.

Nathan Jones Prominent in Swans Betting

Swansea clearly want a manager who can challenge for promotion to the Premier League this season, and perhaps Nathan Jones ticks the right boxes. The former Luton Town manager was highly successful with the Hatters and guided them to the Championship play-offs a couple of seasons ago before he left them in a good place last season for an ill-fated spell at Southampton.

Jones could be open to the prospect of a new beginning at the Liberty Stadium, with the manager having the obvious Welsh links that might endear him to the fanbase at the Liberty Stadium. Perhaps he will be able to prosper with better resources than he had at Luton, with betting apps respecting his chances of joining the Championship club.

Eustace Could Be Handy Appointment at Swansea

The rumours linking John Eustace to the Swansea City manager's job refuse to go away. The 44-year-old was originally thought to be in the running to take charge when Russell Martin left for Southampton last summer, although he was contracted to Birmingham City at the time and Michael Duff ended up getting the nod.

Now Eustace is a free agent, and it appears as though the Welsh club might be interested in hiring someone who performed impressively under difficult circumstances at St Andrew's. Eustace took charge of Birmingham in 2022 and signed a three-year contract, with the manager steering the Blues to their highest points tally since 2016. Swansea might well covet someone who has held assistant manager roles with the Republic of Ireland national team and also Queens Park Rangers.

The betting apps have now shortened Eustace for the Swansea manager's role and the Welsh club could well be interviewing this candidate for the role in the days to come.

Williams Earning Rave Reviews at Notts County

Some might see the appointment of Luke Williams as a potential risk considering the 42-year-old is currently managing in League Two. However, the Notts County manager achieved great things when steering the Midlands outfit to promotion from the National League last season, with the Magpies going up with Wrexham.

County are now among the leading teams in the fourth tier, and it wouldn't be a surprise if they managed a second successive promotion, with Swansea potentially open to interviewing a candidate who has previously been on the payroll at the Liberty Stadium.

In August 2021, Williams became assistant to head coach Russell Martin at Swansea, with this spell ending in February 2022, although it's easy to see why the Swans would be interested in him this time around as the football betting odds suggest they are.

Could Sheehan Be Promoted From Within at Swansea?

Alan Sheehan was recruited by Michael Duff to join his coaching staff at Swansea last summer, with the former now becoming the interim head coach following the latter's sacking. Perhaps the 37-year-old can demonstrate that he's the right man for the job on a full-time basis.

Sheehan played for a huge range of clubs and also earned five caps for the Republic of Ireland, with the coach having worked under Nathan Jones at Luton Town among his various coaching roles. He will prepare the team for upcoming matches at Rotherham and Stoke City, with the Welsh outfit looking to end a run of five games without a win.
