Slaven Bilic Up For Second Stint

Already trading at a short price on several manager markets at new betting sites, Slaven Bilic was made West Ham boss at the start of the 2015/16 season where he led the club to a seventh-place finish with a Premier League club record 62 points as well as the FA Cup Final.

Carrick Also On Shortlist

Michael Carrick has been listed on numerous manager markets at fast withdrawal betting sites since his departure from Middlesbrough in June 2025, but has yet to be hired despite earning plaudits during his time on Teesside.

Carrick played over 150 times for West Ham at the start of his career and will surely be welcomed back to the club despite his lack of Premier League managerial experience. As such, he would certainly be considered a punt rather than a safe option, but that might be what the Irons need heading into the second half of the season.

Amorim To Waste No Time?

Seemingly under pressure for his entire 14-month tenure at Manchester United, Ruben Amorim was finally relieved of his duties in January and may waste no time in getting back on the horse.

The former Sporting manager was roundly criticised for his lack of adaptability at the Red Devils but that sort of rigidity may be just the ticket for West Ham, who will be looking to grind out enough points between now and May to remain in the Premier League.

Amorim was actually interviewed by the Hammers in the summer of 2024 when he became one of the most in-demand coaches in world football, so it's conceivable that they take another shot at hiring him now.

Gary O'Neil was sacked by Wolves in December 2024 just six months after leading the club to 14th in the Premier League and an FA Cup quarter-final, so may well be considered to take over at the London Stadium.

Although the final four months of his stint at Molineux was disastrous, his successor Vitor Pereira didn't fare much better - lasting only 11 months - and that could be enough to convince the West Ham hierarchy that O'Neil was not the problem.
