Did you know a parlay of Farleigh Dickinson (+2000) and Princeton (+900) in Round 1 of the NCAA Tournament would have paid out nearly $21,000 on college basketball betting sites

We apologize for not providing that insight prior to the start of March Madness, but congratulations if anyone cashed in on that kind of parlay that comes around once in a lifetime.

While we aren’t cooking up any +20900 March Madness parlays right here, there’s still plenty of money to be made during the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. With that in mind, we’ve found a lucrative parlay that bettors can place right now at BetMGM Sportsbook.

It’s been an incredibly unpredictable March Madness to date, but we feel good about all four legs of this one. Here’s why:

Leg 1: Connecticut ML over Arkansas (-190)

No teams remaining in the Sweet 16 had as dominant a first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament as Connecticut, which thumped Rick Pitino and Iona by 24 in Round 1 before breezing past an elite St. Mary’s team by 15 two days later.

After an ugly 5-6 start to Big East play, the Huskies have now won 11 of their last 13 games (and their two losses were at Creighton by three and to Marquette in the Big East Tournament by two). This team is red-hot and showing why it has climbed all the way up to No. 4 in KenPom’s advanced rankings.

Of course, Arkansas knocked off No. 1 Kansas and will be no stranger to clamping down red-hot teams. But UConn is getting All-American play from center Adama Sanogo (26.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games last week) and the perimeter shooting around him looks great (the Huskies shot 11 of 25 and 10 of 22 (44.6%) from deep in the two twins).

Danny Hurley’s squad is a complete team that will run past Arkansas in this one. We’re taking the Connecticut ML on betting sites.

Leg 2: Tennessee vs. Florida Atlantic under 130.5 (-110)

Good luck against this Volunteers defense. The country’s top-ranked defensive unit loves to muddy up games and slow things down, which should be an under’s dream scenario.

They allowed 55 and 52 points (the latter of which was against Duke) in opening weekend victories, and they’ve held five of their last seven opponents under 60 points. Oh, and their offense ranks 60th in the country and is missing Zakai Zeigler (10.7 points, 5.4 assists). The Vols are going to want to clamp down whenever and wherever possible.

Florida Atlantic scored 78 points against Farleigh Dickinson but will face a much steeper test here. Facing size like they did against Memphis (when they scored 66 points) might be more indicative of this matchup.

The underdog is going to want to shorten the game, too, so FAU may hold for longer possessions and look to get the best shot possible against this incredible Tennessee defense. This has all the makings of an under.

Leg 3: Alabama vs. San Diego State over 136.5 (-115)

Two of the top-5 defenses in the country square off in this one. So why are we on the over? Both teams are really good on offense, too. We’ll start with the runnin’ Tide, which ranks fifth in tempo and has averaged 81.8 points over their last 10 games.

Brandon Miller leads an absolutely loaded and balanced offensive attack, and we can’t see San Diego State (slow, grind-it-out tempo) dictating the pace in this one. Alabama is too good to let that happen…

…which also means San Diego State is going to have to score to keep up in this one. They’re fully capable of doing just that, with 12 wins in which they scored 75+ points (including Round 2 against Furman).

While they’d love to slow things up and shorten the game against a superior Alabama team, we think it’s more likely that they’re forced to shoot for 70 points to even have a chance here. We’ll take the over here on betting apps.

Leg 4: Creighton moneyline vs. Princeton (-500)

We’ll throw in our biggest lock of the weekend to put a cherry on this Sweet 16 March Madness parlay. Princeton has been an incredible story, knocking off Arizona and Missouri on its way to one of the most unlikely Sweet 16 appearances we’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, there’s an enormous (literally) task in front of them with Creighton.

The Bluejays are a much better team than their No. 6 seed implies (they’re No. 12 in KenPom) and they can beat teams a number of ways, so it’s not like Princeton can really take Greg McDermott’s squad out of its element. This balanced attack on both ends of the floor will be too much to overcome, and we’re adding this bet to our Sweet 16 March Madness parlays as we think it’s as close to a lock as you’ll find this weekend.
