1. Jrue Holiday, Over 8.5 Assists
Odds: +115 at DraftKings
Holiday’s shooting has a been a roller coaster of an affair the entire playoffs. Regardless, he hasn’t skirted his passing duties as the lead ball-handler.
Counting the series vs. the Hawks and now the Suns, Holiday has never had fewer than seven assists in a game and is averaging 9.5 apg in that span. He’ll be remembered for that key steal, and for stellar 12-of-20 shooting in the Game 5 win at Phoenix, but he also had 13 assists. Holiday should defer more to the Big Two, but stay engaged and hit double-figure assists. Available with plus odds, no less, on many sports betting apps.
2. Khris Middleton, Over 25.5 Points
Odds: -120 at DraftKings
Middleton is a former All-Star, but he’s never really been considered an elite player until these playoffs, and especially these Finals. Now he is, and even Giannis has taken a back seat in crunch time.
Middleton has scored at least 26 points in five of the Bucks’ last seven playoff games. The two that he didn’t, he averaged 15 shot attempts. The five he did, he averaged 24.8. Scoring often goes down in close-out games, especially the NBA Finals, but if Middleton puts up 25 shots, he should score 26 points.
3. Deandre Ayton, Over 16.5 Points
Odds: -120 at DraftKings
If the Suns have learned one thing in this three-game NBA Finals slide, it’s that Devin Booker can’t do all the scoring. Someone else needs to put the ball in the basket. Many will point to Chris Paul, but Paul has scored anywhere from 41 to 10 points in this series alone.
Ayton has been steadier, scoring at least 16 points in eight of his last 11 games. He had 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting from the field in Game 5. That’s a well the Suns need to keep hitting.
