Denver Nuggets Odds, Betting Guide & Picks for 2019-20
The Denver Nuggets exploded onto the national stage by finishing second in the Western Conference last season. Behind MVP candidate Nikola Jokic, budding star Jamal Murray and a host of key role players, they’ve gone from a nice young team to one flirting with elite status. They didn’t have a loud offseason like others in the West, but this is every bit a title contender as its counterparts.
Here’s the key odds available and how you should bet them:
Nuggets Win-Total Betting
The Line: 52.5 with SugarHouse
The West is stronger, but the Nuggets are part of that equation. They added Jerami Grant and return their seven leading scorers from last year’s 54-win team. We’re expecting a repeat performance for a young team on the rise.
The Bet: We’ll take the over here.
Nuggets Northwest Division Odds
The Line: +140 with DraftKings
It’s the tightest division in basketball. The Nuggets, Jazz and Blazers are all on equal footing. We’re giving the slight edge to Denver and their chemistry, making this solid value.
The Bet: The Nuggets are deep enough that they won’t have many regular-season lulls, so this is a solid bet.
Nuggets Western Conference Odds
The Line: +1200 with FanDuel
Denver made a surprise exit in Round 2 at the hands of the Blazers. But the Nuggets will be back. Jokic, Murray, Harris and Barton have the experience and chemistry that other contenders in the West simply don’t, and that will make them a threat – plus they have excellent home-court advantage.
The Bet: The Nuggets should play well into May, and these odds are extremely enticing and worth a strong look.
Nuggets NBA Title Odds
The Line: +2000 with 888sport
The Nuggets have improved each of the last four seasons. Improvement in Year 5 would be a leap toward championship contention. They have star power, they’re deep and have a top-10 head coach. In that sense, they feel a lot like the Raptors a year ago.
The Bet: These odds are good value for a potentially elite team.
Best Nuggets Player Prop Bets
The Line: Nikola Jokic MVP +1200 with PointsBet
The Nuggets are on the rise. And they’ll only go as far as Jokic takes them. He posted unprecedented numbers last season and should build on them. The West is wide open, and if Denver can sneak into one of the top two spots in the West, Jokic will get serious consideration. He finished fourth in the voting a year ago.
The Bet: This is excellent value for someone with a feasible path to the award.
