Leg 1: The Nets own the NBA’s second-worst defense, giving up 128 ppg. But they also rank 26th in points at 112.3. Anthony Edwards will miss this one. But in the three games he hasn’t played, the Wolves are scoring more per game and allowing fewer. Brooklyn has allowed 129-plus points in all but two games, and no fewer than 114.

Leg 2: No Anthony Edwards means something else must pick up the scoring slack. Julius Randle, who has been a scoring leader on teams, has been that person in Edwards’ three games on the shelf. He’s averaging 29 ppg. The Nets are allowing 128 ppg.

Leg 3: Four-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert has registered two blocks in four straight games. That trend can continue here for the Timberwolves center against the Nets, who are getting blocked 5.7 times per game, and 6.3 at Barclays Center.
