Utah Jazz Odds, Betting Guide & Picks for 2019-20

The Utah Jazz were already playoff contenders before they struck a deal for veteran Mike Conley. Now they find themselves right in the thick of the Western Conference hunt, and a trio of Conley, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell could very well lead the Jazz back to the Finals in a wide-open Western Conference.

Here’s the key odds available and how you should bet them:

Jazz Win-Total Betting

The Line: 53.5 with SugarHouse

They won 50 games last season and are better on paper this season, but they play in one of the NBA’s toughest divisions and will deal with a West-loaded schedule. Acclimating Conley may take time, so while they may reach the 50-win mark once again, we’re predicting they fall just shy of this win total.

The Bet: Go with the under.

Jazz Southwest Division Odds

The Line: +140 with DraftKings

It’s a three-team race in the Northwest between the Jazz, Nuggets and Blazers. We like the Nuggets and their depth to edge out the Jazz, but this is still pretty good value for one of the most talented teams in the West. You can’t go wrong with either.

The Bet: It’s a coin flip for the division, so not a bad bet.

Jazz Western Conference Odds

The Line: +1200 with FanDuel

Utah’s issue has always been finding enough scoring in the postseason. That shouldn’t be as big an issue this season with Mitchell, Conley and a handful of other key role players. They’re a tier below the Los Angeles powerhouses, but that defense can take them a long way.

The Bet: At these odds, they’re worth a wager.

Jazz NBA Title Odds

The Line: +1400 with 888sport

Defense wins championships, even in the ever-growing offensive-minded NBA. That’s good news for Utah, who has ranked 2nd, 1st, 3rd and 7th in defensive efficiency the last four seasons. Conley and free-agent signing Bojan Bogdanovic should give them enough offensive boost to match such a stellar defense.

The Bet: This a great value pick to win the 2020 NBA Finals.

Best Jazz Player Prop Bets

The Line: Rudy Gobert Defensive Player of the Year +190 with PointsBet

There hasn’t been a three-peat winner in this category since Dwight Howard, but Gobert is every bit the defender Superman was in the early 2010s. He’ll be among the league leaders in rebounds and blocks and will anchor one of the league’s best defenses. All the credentials are there for him to win this award once again.

The Bet: This is solid value for a player who has the inside track toward a three-peat.
