NFL Hall Of Famer Andre Reed Teams Up With bet365 Ahead Of Super Bowl

Adam Thompson | 3 mins

Andre Reed went to four Super Bowls as the lead wide receiver of the Buffalo Bills. His Bills infamously lost all four of them, but as the years have gone by, the memories of failing to capture a ring have been replaced by how impressive it was to play in so many championship games.
Reed is telling that story and many more, teaming up with bet365 for a series of videos leading up to Super Bowl 56. The videos from the online sportbook’s “Reed Between The Lines” series are being posted across their social channels.

Reed A Superstar In Buffalo
Reed was a seven-time Pro Bowl WR and two-time All-Pro in 16 NFL seasons, the first 15 with the Buffalo Bills. Reed retired in 2000 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
Buffalo’s 1990s teams are considered one of the top groups in pro sports to not win a championship. From 1990-93, the Bills went 49-15 and advanced to four Super Bowls. But they dropped all four big games, all to NFC East opponents (Washington, the Giants and the Cowboys twice).
All four of those Bills teams ranked in the top 7 that season in both points scored and yards gained. Reed, along with QB Jim Kelly and RB Thurman Thomas, made up one of the premier skill tandems of the era.
“I’m proud of it. I will never say that I’m not proud because we went to four championships and lost,” Reed says in the opening video. “Yes, I would have loved one of them, because if you win one of them, they don’t talk about the other three you lose. But that’s just sports.”
Reed opines in the series opener on a brief encounter with Michael Jackson at halftime of the 1993 Super Bowl, and how it inspired him.
Other videos in the bet365 series include Reed’s breakdown of a complete player based on current player attributes; his love of London and hopes that Super Bowls could be played across the pond one day; his analysis of the top players in the game today; and how he will be enjoying his Super Bowl, superstitions and all.
