NFL East rivals coming off losses look to get back on track in the Week 6 edition of Thursday Night Football, as Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants host Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles (4-1) suffered their first defeat on Sunday, a 21-17 home setback to the Broncos. The Giants (1-4) fell 26-14 to the Saints one week after surprising the Chargers for their first victory.
For Barkley, it’s a return to his former stomping grounds. He was the anchor of three healthy seasons in New York before joining the Eagles in 2024 and leading them to a Super Bowl championship.

Hurts and the Eagles rank 31st in pass yards per game and Barkley is averaging just 3.2 yards per carry, down a whipping 2.6 ypc from last season. Philly won its first four games, but by 4, 3, 7 and 6 points. That said, all five previous opponents were legit playoff-level teams. The Giants are not.
Jaxson Dart provided a spark of confidence in the Giants, but it was short-lived following a loss to the previously winless Saints. He’s averaging a measly 5.2 yards per attempt; only Joe Flacco averages less. He’s done considerable damage with his scrambling, but likely comes in at under 100% after straining a hamstring on Sunday. It could get tough for the G-Men offense, so we’ll side with the Eagles and lay the points.
Eagles vs. Giants Over/Under
The Under has hit in four of five Giants games this season, including the last two with Darty at the helm, totaling 39 and 40 points. That’s right on this line. The Eagles present a new challenge for New York’s offense.
Philadelphia’s O, meanwhile, has been scored in the low 20s three times, and in the 30s twice. New York’s defense is better than its offense, but we can’t relay on the Giants to hold up their end of the Over/Under bargain. We lean Under but only as a secondary play.

1. Eagles -6.5 (-130): We’ll add some juice for more-favorable odds and lessen the likelihood of any backdoor shenanigans. The Giants are going to struggle moving the ball, so Philadelphia should simply outscore New York.
2. Saquon Barkley, Score TD (-149): The star Eagles RB has struggled finding open space this season compared to last, but he’s still finding paydirt. Barkley has scored in four of Philly’s five games this season. With a trip back to face his old team, a team’s that’s had issues stopping the run, look for Barkley to produce.
3. Jaxson Dart, Under 35.5 Rush Yards (-110): Dart has 55 and 54 rushing yards in his two starts, on a combined 17 attempts. His legs are a weapon for the Giants. But the rookie also pulled a hammy on Sunday vs. the Saints. Dart may not be as nimble on short rest against a defense that’s allowing about 20 ypg to QBs.
