We’re closing in on the launch of ESPN BET, which is set to go live sometime in late November. While details have been tight-lipped to date—the ESPN BET logo and color scheme were unveiled last week.

We should receive plenty more details at the ESPN Edge Conference on Nov. 9, when Penn Entertainment CEO Jay Snowden and ESPN’s VP of Sports Betting & Fantasy Mike Morrison will unveil details of the joint venture that was originally agreed upon this past summer.

Ironically, we’re not sure exactly what will be revealed, but we’re hoping to learn more about the layout of the website and mobile betting app, a welcome bonus offer that all players will receive upon registering for a new account, and how closely the operations will resemble the current Barstool Sportsbook.

ESPN Third Annual Edge Conference

The third annual ESPN Edge Conference will be hosted by Tony Reali at The Seaport at Pier 17 in New York City.

The conference will also be live-streamed (espnedge.com/conference) for players looking to learn more about the newest entrant into the online sports betting space.

The conference will also feature ESPN’s ideas in sports media innovation, creativity, talent integration, analytics, and storytelling.

ESPN BET is set to launch in the 17 states where Penn Entertainment holds licenses and is currently operating at Barstool Sportsbook.

It seemed to be a matter of when, not if, ESPN would wade into the online sports betting waters, and it’s doing so in a big way with Penn Entertainment.

The $2 billion deal will put them on the map in a significant way, with the potential for them to earn up to 20% in market share over the next two years.
