The Thanksgiving Day NFL betting schedule has a tasty dessert entrée featuring the New England Patriots visiting the Minnesota Vikings. Neither team scored an offensive touchdown in Week 11.

The Vikings were obliterated at home by the Cowboys 40-3. It was their worst home loss since 1963.

The Patriots, however, stunned the world with a 10-3 win over the New York Jets. The Patriots held the Jets to 2.77 inches per offensive play in the second half but were still tied 3-3 with 26 seconds to play. The Jets then opted to punt the ball directly to rookie Marcus Jones instead of the Gatorade guy on the sidelines. Jones ran the punt back for the game’s only TD.

That loss cost Zach Wilson his starting job with the Jets on Wednesday. But the Patriots are still dealing with an offense that has struggled to move the ball.

New England’s defense has been stellar this season. And Kirk Cousins has a terrible record in primetime. Meanwhile, Mac Jones has been just terrible. Period.

Here are our best anytime TD scorer prop bets on sports betting apps for the Patriots-Vikings game on Thanksgiving Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.

Patriots Defense Anytime TD

Odds: +400 at BetMGM

This wager is a standard afterthought most weeks. In this game, it carries a better price than New England receivers Nelson Agholor, Kendrick Bourne or Tyquan Thornton reaching the end zone intact with the ball. That explains the plight of the Patriots offense.

Kirk Cousins has thrown five picks in his past six Thursday games. The Vikings are without their starting left tackle, so Cousins will be facing immense pressure all day. The Patriots defense may need to score in order for New England to win, and it is well equipped to do so.

Patriots Defense/Special Teams Scores & Patriots Win

Odds: +800 at BetMGM

We’re not saying this will happen, but don’t be surprised if it does. This is a great value play given that is exactly how the Patriots won last week. We won’t expect another punt return TD. But a forced fumble on a return or a pick-six is entirely possible.

And if the Patriots defense does score, that might be enough given their defensive prowess. Bill Belichick has built this team entirely in his own image and winning with special teams and defense is as Belichickian as it gets.

Justin Jefferson Anytime TD

Odds: +120 at BetMGM

Justin Jefferson leads the NFL with 1,093 receiving yards. The weakest part of New England’s defense is the deep secondary. The Vikings will be looking for a big-play score and Jefferson is the prefect target. Jefferson could be too much for the Patriots secondary to handle in the Red Zone.

Rhamondre Stevenson Anytime TD

Odds: +120 at BetMGM

If the Patriots offense is going to generate touchdowns, at least one will come on the ground. Stevenson is much more likely to score on a run of 10 or 15 yards given his acceleration through the hole. But if the Patriots get close to the goal line, they will undoubtedly give Stevenson one or two shots.

He’s strong enough to get it done, even if the Vikings are expecting him to try. Stevenson has become the Patriots’ best offensive option and will be used in excess.

Adam Thielen First Overall TD

Odds: +1100 at BetMGM

Adam Thielen loves playing in primetime. He has five TD catches in his past four primetime games. The Vikings need to score early in this one, especially coming off a 37-point beatdown. Thielen has sure hands and can handle the pressure coming into this game. The Vikings will be working the ball to their staples of Dalvin Cook, Jefferson and Thielen. Look for Thielen to get the first shot at the end zone.
