The Chicago Bears, BetRivers.com and Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, Illinois, announced on Tuesday a multi-year partnership between the three entities.

The multi-year sportsbook and casino deal for the Bears makes BetRivers the Bears’ official sportsbook partner for NFL betting and Rivers Casino the Bears' official casino partner. You can check out our BetRivers Sportsbook review to learn more about the site.

Illinois sports betting has taken off despite an in-person registration requirement. In April, the last month the state reported sports betting figures, Illinois had the second-highest handle total in the country, trailing only New Jersey sports betting.

“We are incredibly excited to announce BetRivers and Rivers Casino as our first multi-year exclusive partner in the sportsbook and casino categories,” Bears President & CEO Ted Phillips said in a news release. “We look forward to connecting with our fans in fun and unique ways through these avenues and couldn't be prouder to be building this relationship with a hometown company.”

In September 2020, the Bears announced a sports betting sponsorship with PointsBet.

As part of the partnership, BetRivers and Rivers Casino will receive a mix of in-stadium signage, along with digital, social and print assets, according to the news release. BetRivers will also be the title partner for a free to play, customized team game on the official Chicago Bears mobile app with promotions for exclusive Chicago Bears prizes and experiences.

“As a lifelong Bears fan, I am thrilled to have BetRivers and Rivers Casino partner with our hometown NFL team, the Chicago Bears, as the organization's only Official Sportsbook and Casino Partner,” Neil Bluhm, executive chairman & co-founder of Rush Street Interactive and Rush Street Gaming, said in the release. Rush Street is the parent company of BetRivers. “We look forward to expanding our relationship with the Bears and their dedicated fan base, and offering innovative products and promotions as we remain committed to delivering a first-rate customer experience.

”This partnership also reinforces our commitment to hometown teams in states where we have our online and land-based sportsbooks.”

Possible Bears Play for Arlington Park

Last Thursday, the Bears submitted an offer to Arlington Park owner Churchill Downs for the 326-acre former thoroughbred race track (which is up for sale) for a possible new stadium.

On May 26, NFL owners approved two Soldier Field renovation projects involving financing for the 2015 scoreboard installation and the 2019 videoboard installation near both the Walter Payton and George Halas statues. The Bears’ lease at Soldier Field run through 2033.

The Bears open their 2021 preseason schedule at home against the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 14 and opens the regular season at the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday on Sept. 12 in prime time. Be sure to check out the Bears’ NFL futures odds from the top sports betting sites.

In September 2020, the Cubs announced that DraftKings Sportsbook would be their official sports betting and Daily Fantasy Sports partner and that DraftKings could put a sportsbook at Wrigley Field. The multiyear deal gave DraftKings even greater access to the Chicago sports betting market. Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, who helped win six NBA championships for the city, is a special adviser to the DraftKings board.
