Green Bay Packers NFL Draft Odds: Give Rodgers A Receiver

Adam Thompson | 3 mins

Three straight 13-win seasons, three straight playoffs losses to come up short of the Super Bowl.
That includes two defeats in the NFC Championship Game, and two at home as the overall No. 1 seed. The drama with MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers has dominated the last few off-seasons, too, but that was finally cleared when he signed the richest contract in NFL history.
Green Bay should once again be a Super Bowl contender, but it isn’t without needs that must be addressed before kickoff. Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson has revealed who the Packers are most likely to choose with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Who Will The Packers Take In The NFL Draft?
Green Bay is available around +1100 to win Super Bowl 57 on NFL futures markets. The window is closing on the Rodgers era, and management has shown they don’t want to waste it.
But with the trade of Davante Adams, arguably the best receiver in the NFL, the Packers are left to wonder who Rodgers is going to throw the ball to. The depth chart is void of pass-catching playmakers. The Packers have picks No. 22 and 28, and it wouldn’t be a shock if they used both on wideouts. This is a good draft class to do it.
The offensive line could use another guard and tackle to compete for a starting spot, as well. But WR is going to be part of Green Bay’s first-round plans.

Chris Olave’s Odds to Join the Green Bay Packers
The Packers have a lot of receptions to replace, and Olave might be the guy in a deep WR class to be a big-workload rookie. He’s a natural athlete with smooth moves and sub-4.4 speed to stretch the field. NFL.com scouts compared him to Terry McLaurin.
Olave’s size is a concern (6-foot, 187 pounds), which could shift the Packers’ focus to someone like Treylon Burks of Arkansas (6-2, 225). But in terms of immediate help, few could match Olave’s immediate-impact potential. That’s what the Packers desperately need.
Don’t be shocked if the Packers use a few of their many draft picks to move up and get USC 6-4 WR Drake London, considered the top wideout in a deep class.
