UPDATE: The Dolphins no longer hold a 1st round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft after they traded that pick, along with a number of other selections, to the Kansas City Chiefs for wide receiver Tyreek Hill. This page will be updated again should the Dolphins receive a 1st round pick in a subsequent trade.
The Miami Dolphins took a step back with Tua Tagovailoa under center, but just missed the playoffs. Tua is back with a new coach leading the way and a core of young talent eager to get Miami into the AFC mix.
The work is not done yet. Miami dipped in points and yards per game last season, and that will be the focus all offseason, including free agency and in the draft.
Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson has revealed who the Dolphins are most likely to choose with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Who Will The Dolphins Take In The 1st Round?
It’s easy to point the blame at Tagovailoa, but the fact is Miami’s offensive line ranked dead-last among overall play by Pro Football Focus. Only one of the four O-line regulars ranked above “poor” in pass protection.
The team made some inroads by inking G Connor Williams from the Cowboys in free agency, but there are more spots to improve across the line.
Miami added Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds and former 49ers RB Raheem Mostert to spark a rushing attack that was bottom-tier in 2021. The pass game nabbed Cedrick Wilson from Dallas but could still use a big target to go alongside WRs Jaylen Waddle and DeVante Parker.
Trevor Penning Odds To join The Dolphins
“This is what you look for in a starting tackle,” is how one NFC scout categorized the Northern Iowa product. Miami is strongly in the market for a startling tackle.
The Dolphins are available around +4500 to win Super Bowl 57 on NFL futures markets, so the temptation to make a splash in free agency can be tempered with a continue-to-build philosophy. The O-line is where it starts.
If their desired line choices are gone, receiver is the next logical step. USC’s Drake London has the size that Miami’s current crop of WRs lacks.
