NFL Survivor Pools have exploded in popularity, and at levels for all kinds of fans, from family pools to those with thousands of dollars in NFL betting cash prizes on the line.

The simple nature of it is a major draw: Survivor Pools entail picking one team to win each week, but never picking the same team twice.

It's not how much your team wins by in a Survivor Pool. Simply, it's about picking a winner and moving on — and sometimes saving the biggest NFL odds favorite for a future week.

Here is the pick for Week 6:

Miami Dolphins

NFL Week 6 Survivor Pool: Chance to Swim With the Dolphins 1

Is this really a backing of a surging Dolphins team, or a fading of a downtrodden Jets squad? Both.

CHECK OUT: The Bookies.com Podcast, Episode 2

Since an ugly 21-11 Week 1 loss at New England, Miami has averaged 31.3 ppg. Three of those four games were against title contenders. The fourth, vs. the Jaguars, resulted in a 31-13 victory.

The Jets? Sam Darnold is out again. He’s missed seven games in his pro career, and New York has lost all seven by an average of 18.6 ppg. Le’Veon Bell isn’t showing up to add a weapon for Joe Flacco. There aren’t many opportunities to play Miami. This is as safe as it will get.

Other Week 6 Contenders:

Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens have cleaned house in every victory, and the Eagles are really struggling.

Detroit Lions: The Jaguars have lost four straight, the Lions are coming off a bye after beating the Cardinals and nearly shocking the Saints.
