When it comes to getting wild and making noise, NFL fans know how to make their presence felt during games. Whether it’s chanting, booing, yelling or general misbehaving (looking at you, Buffalo Bills fans) football fans are among the wildest in all of sports. But which fan bases are the rowdiest of them all?

In order to find out, we recently surveyed NFL fans across the country to determine the rowdiest fans, quarterbacks and coaches in the league.

Which NFL Fans Are The Rowdiest? 1

When the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2018, city workers had to cover street poles in Crisco to keep fans from climbing them, so perhaps it’s fitting that the Eagles were ranked as the rowdiest fans in the league. According to NFL fans, Eagles fans throw back one too many during football games, which might explain why they’ve taken the crown for the league’s rowdiest fans.

Let’s face it, when your fans are known as a “mafia,” it’s safe to say they’re going to end up pretty high on the list of rowdiest fans, which is why it’s no surprise that the Buffalo Bills come in at No. 2 on our list. What makes these fans so rowdy? Well, just Google “Buffalo Bills fans breaking tables” and you’ll find the answer.

Coming in at No. 3 are the Dallas Cowboys followed by the Las Vegas Raiders. And according to fans, the Pittsburgh Steelers round out the top five rowdiest fan bases in the NFL. The New York markets seem low on this list as everyone knows Jets fans can get rowdy.

Elsewhere on our list is the least rowdy NFL fans. According to fans, the Miami Dolphins are the tamest in the league followed by the Indianapolis Colts, Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Rowdiest NFL Quarterbacks

Along with asking NFL fans who they think are the rowdiest in the stands, we also asked them to rank the rowdiest on the field. According to fans, Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns is the rowdiest quarterback in the league. Mayfield is no stranger to controversy both on and off the field, but he’s not alone in our list of rowdiest quarterbacks.

Coming in at No. 2 is Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers followed by Cam Newton – who has since been cut by the New England Patriots. Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers and Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady round out the top five.

Rowdiest NFL Coaches

It’s not just the players who get too rowdy - coaches are guilty as well. According to fans, Bill Belichick is the rowdiest coach in the league followed by Jon Gruden, Dan Campbell, Andy Reid and John Harbaugh.

How will these rankings stack up for the 2021-22 NFL season? Well, we’ll have to wait to find out. But either way, we wouldn’t want to be a folding table at a Buffalo Bills game.
