Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suffered his first drop in points after he watched his players draw against Burnley in the midweek Premier League fixtures.

While the result was disappointing, the manner of the comeback and performance will have told him about the team’s backbone and spine – something that had been missing under Jose Mourinho.

Claude Puel has found himself under intense criticism this season over the manner in which Leicester City play. Fans are wanting the Foxes to become more adventurous going forward while keeping their impressive defensive solidity.

The French manager led his team to a fantastic point away at Anfield against Liverpool in their latest match, which could have so easily have turned into three.

This match should provide some enlightenment over how Man United can bounce back from a disappointing result under Solskjaer, as well as if Leicester can build on their good performance against Liverpool instead of showing their inconsistencies.

Back Marcus Rashford to Score

Although Marcus Rashford suffered in front of goal against the Clarets when he should have scored two or three instead of firing blanks, the Englishman has been in terrific form under the interim Norwegian boss.

Rashford has scored five goals in his nine appearances since Solskjaer took charge of the Red Devils, with the England international’s reliability increasing tenfold. The 21-year-old forward has been played through the middle, spearheading United’s attack on a regular occurrence, which is his best position to cause unease to the opposition ahead of him.

In a fluid front three alongside two of Anthony Martial, Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard, Rashford is given the opportunity to float out wide as well as play on the half turn and face his opponents head-on.

Although it was not apparent against Burnley, Rashford’s finishing has improved hugely thanks to the tutelage of Solskjaer. Not only has the academy graduate’s goal-scoring improved, it is his ability to find himself in the right position at the right time in order to receive the ball.

Rashford is priced at 9/2 to score first out of the two teams with William Hill, while Ladbrokes offer odds of 6/4 to find the back of the net at any time throughout the 90 minutes.

Bet on Man United to Win

Even if Manchester United dropped valuable points on their top four rivals, the players – as well as the coaching staff – will have been pleased with how they bounced back in order to salvage an important point and keep the pressure on.

Sitting only two points behind fourth place Arsenal, the Red Devils have a great opportunity to close that gap given Unai Emery’s men travel to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon. They will not be permitted a better opportunity to leapfrog their rivals.

While Leicester have shown their brittleness in recent weeks, especially against Liverpool, they are also one of the most inconsistent teams in the league. Losing to Newport County in the FA Cup as well as Southampton and Wolves in the league rounded off a three-game consecutive losing streak that caused Puel to feel the weight of Leicester’s fans on his shoulders.

Man United have won their last three away matches in the Premier League, while Leicester’s last home win in the domestic competition came on Boxing Day. Such has been Puel’s difficulty to motivate his players and surge creativity through the team, they have not been able to win in all competitions at the King Power Stadium in 2019.

Solskjaer’s men are 21/20 to return to Manchester on Sunday evening with the three points with Betfair.

Expect Goals to Flow

Since the Norwegian took his seat in the dugout of Old Trafford, there has been a new sense of life emanating from the club. The players look happier to play the brand of attacking football that the caretaker manager wants, with results backing up their performances.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Lingard and Rashford have been a force to be reckoned with when taking teams on – especially when there’s an opportunity to counter attack. The sheer change of speed from defence into attack has been something United’s fans have longed for for many years and are now witnessing it once more.

There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 15 of Man United’s last 18 games in the Premier League, as well as the club having found the back of the net at least twice in six of their last seven.

The Foxes have a reliable defence more often than not, but the waves of attacks that United will bombard them with will get the better of them at some point. It feels as if it is only a matter of time before Man United score nowadays, which has been a considerable improvement from under Mourinho.

On the other hand, Leicester have Jamie Vardy who enjoys scoring against the Red Devils, and will be encouraged with the away team’s lacklustre defending in recent weeks and inability to keep clean sheets.

This fixture is offered at 4/5 for there to be over 2.5 goals with Bet365, while BetVictor provide odds of 21/10 for over 3.5.
