Undefeated heavyweight Adam Kownacki and unbeaten light heavyweight Marcus Browne are in noteworthy fights this weekend on the PBC Fight Night on FOX card broadcast live from Brooklyn.

Rising heavyweight contender Adam Kownacki will be in the ring against rugged veteran Chris Arreola. Here's how fans of boxing betting should bet each fight:

Adam Kownacki vs. Chris Arreola Prediction

Kownacki, 30, is an aggressive combination puncher. He enjoyed a long amateur career, so compared to most heavyweights today he carries with him a certain amount of precision and technical skill in his approach.

Arreola, 38, from Escondido, Calif., is a former world title challenger with good power and solid boxing skills. He was undefeated back in 2009 when he challenged Vitali Klitschko for the WBC heavyweight title. He took a bad beating in that fight and lost via tenth round stoppage.

He had two more chances to win a world title but failed in each. Bermane Stiverne stopped him five years later for the vacant WBC title, and Deontay Wilder did the same in 2016 for the same belt.

Kownacki is rightfully the huge favorite at -2000 per 888Sport in New Jersey. The bookies like the Polish star to stop Arreola which makes some sense considering Arreola’s age and recent competition level.

Perhaps the missing piece in the equation is when Kownacki will do it. Arreola is a good boxer and very tough. Couple that with his impressive power and you might even be possible to talk yourself into Arreola pulling the upset at +900.

But don’t do that. Instead, look at the O/U market where you can take the over 6.5 rounds at +155. While Kownacki looks like the real deal in terms of being a prospect, he probably won’t be able to just walk through Arreola. It will look more like a back-and-forth battle of solid pros with Kownacki doing the better work early on and pulling away late in the fight.

Undefeated light heavyweight Browne, 28, from Carteret, N.J., is pitted against former titleholder Jean Pascal, 36, from Quebec, Canada. Browne is coming off the biggest win over his career, a 12-round decision against Badou Jack to capture a secondary world title belt.

Marcus Browne vs Jean Pascal Prediction

Browne was a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team and appears to be on the verge of getting a world title opportunity. Pascal is a former world champion who was solid at his peak but has settled more into a trial horse now because his style relies heavily on athleticism. As that has naturally declined, so has Pascal.

He can still go-rounds though. The bookies seem to think Browne, the -2000 favorite to beat Pascal, +900, stops Pascal. I’m not so sure there’s much evidence for that. After all, Pascal just went twelve rounds with WBA titleholder Dmitry Bivol and most would consider that fighter a cut above Browne.

The best value is Yes on the fight to go the distance at +125. Sure, you could back Browne on points at +145, but Pascal is crafty enough to make things interesting, and I’m just not yet sold on Browne.
