Last week at the Workday Charity Open was a lot of fun for golf bettors.

Enter Tiger Woods at the 2020 Memorial Tournament.

The PGA Tour returns to Muirfield Village this week for another go-round coming off Collin Morikawa’s playoff win over Justin Thomas in the Workday Charity Open.

Sunday saw a crazy finish for golf betting fans, with massive odds swings throughout the day. But Woods is back, the field is as good as you’ll find at any major and the hype for the Memorial couldn’t be any bigger.

Patrick Cantlay (+120) over Bryson DeChambeau

Let’s get one thing straight. If DeChambeau wins or comes close this week, the rest of the Tour is in trouble. We’re not trying to take anything away from what he’s done so far this year. The results are undeniable. But Muirfield Village has never favored the bombers. It’s a second-shot course with a premium on accuracy – Morikawa led the field in Strokes Gained Approach during his win last week.

Cantlay is one of the best irons players on Tour, he won this tournament last year and he shot 65 Sunday to finish T-7 at the Workday. The big miss off the tee will give DeChambeau a lot more trouble this week than it has over the past month. Bet it at DraftKings:

Marc Leishman (-159) over Phil Mickelson

Leishman shot an ugly 77 to miss the cut last week. He’s also one of the best ball strikers around and has a great track record at the Memorial.

Mickelson will tell anyone within earshot that he doesn’t like playing courses with thick rough anymore. He only hit 50% of fairways last week, his putting was off, and we think he’ll fare worse this week given the more difficult setup. Bet it at Unibet:

Danny Willett (-118) over Brandt Snedeker

Willett didn’t play last week after a T-4 finish at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He was T-27 last year at the Memorial, his only prior start at Muirfield. Snedeker had a decent start last week but still missed the cut on the number.

That means Snedeker has now failed to make the cut in all seven career starts at Muirfield. Granted, he came close, but we’ll still fade him in matchups at a course he just can’t figure out. Bet it at PointsBet:

Hideki Matsuyama to Finish Top 20 (+125)

Matsuyama was solo sixth at the 2019 Memorial and T-13 in 2018. He fell just outside of the top-20 mark last week, turning in a solid T-22 for the week at 8-under-par. He checks all the boxes at this course and should hit his stride entering week No. 2 at Muirfield. Bet on it at FOXBet:

Collin Morikawa (-110) over Jon Rahm

Guess the thinking on these odds is it’s tough to bounce back after a win? That’s usually true, but this week is a little different. Morikawa didn’t spend all Sunday night signing autographs, meeting with various tournament sponsors and doing the usual media song-and-dance. He didn’t have to hop on an 8 a.m. flight after celebrating all night. He’s been chilling in Dublin, Ohio, all week.

Rahm is getting closer to his pre-break form, but we’re not betting against Morikawa with how good he looked tee-to-green last week. Bet on him with FanDuel:
