The first season with Jonathan Gannon as head coach of the Arizona Cardinals looked a lot like the final season with Kliff Kingsbury in the role. The Cardinals went 4-13 for the second year in a row and statistically remained consistent.

Kyler Murray played in just eight games but is the entrenched QB1. Now it’s time to build around him. The team has a lot of holes to fill. It started in free agency and continues with the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Bookies.com veteran oddsmaker Adam Thompson has used his resources of NFL contacts developed over 20 years covering the league and the NFL Draft to create his hypothetical NFL future odds on who gets selected 4th by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL Draft.

2024 NFL Draft Prospects For No.4  Pick

The Cardinals weren’t very good in most ways last year, with RB James Conner being the exception. Arizona ranked fourth in the NFL in rushing. But it was 26th in passing, dead-last in rush defense, and 31st in points allowed.

The Cardinals attacked the defense in free agency, adding playmakers to each level. More help is needed there, especially on the D-line.

But they sit with the No. 4 overall pick. QBs are expected to go 1-2-3, and Arizona isn’t in the market for one anyway. That means the team can likely take the No. 1 non-QB off the board.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is the name on the list. Harrison was a monster for three years at Ohio State, he has the pedigree (his father was eight-time Pro Bowl WR Marvin Harrison) and his size (6-3, 210 pounds) is ideal.

One could argue that LSU WR Malik Nabers is going to be just as good. Both are projected to be immediate starters and go-to guys for an offense in 2024.

The tipping point: Harrison came out and said he wanted to play for the Cardinals. That’s music to the ears of Gannon, Murray, and management.

If Harrison isn’t the guy, Nabers is a strong second option. After that, Edge rushers Jared Verse of Florida State and Dallas Turner of Alabama are next on the list. Arizona ranked 30th last year in sacks and 31st in QB pressures.

The Field includes offensive tackles expected to be plug-and-play starters such as JC Latham of Alabama and Joe Alt of Notre Dame, though the Cardinals addressed the OT issue with the signing of Jonah Williams from the Bengals.
