UFC 320 Main Event Best Bet
Magomed Ankalaev (-258) vs. Alex Pereira (+210)
The headliner of UFC 320 is a rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira. I am going with Ankalaev to win the rematch as a -258 favorite.
Ankalaev is 33, and he is 12-1-1, 1 NC in the UFC. The Russian defeated Pereira earlier this year at UFC 313 to win the UFC light heavyweight title, and this is his first official title defense. Ankalaev is currently riding a 14-fight unbeaten streak, having not lost since his UFC debut back in 2018. Other than that, Ankalaev hasn’t tasted defeat in the UFC. He is a big, strong, powerful striker who likes to stand and trade with his opponents, very rarely using his wrestling. Ankalaev already proved he can outstrike Pereira on the feet once, and now he will have to do it again.
Pereira is 38, and he is 9-2 in the UFC. The Brazilian is the former UFC light heavyweight and middleweight champion, and one of the most popular fighters in the sport today. He is an incredible striker with massive power who has knocked out seven foes inside the Octagon. When it’s all said and done, he will be in the UFC Hall of Fame one day. That being said, he is getting up there in age, and it showed in his last fight with Ankalaev, where he got rocked. Pereira is an incredible fighter, but he may have seen his best days inside the Octagon.
I see Ankalaev controlling the center of the Octagon and outlanding Pereira with his strikes to win a decision in a performance similar to how he won the belt earlier this year at UFC 313. Take Ankalaev to win as a -258 favorite, and look for him to win this fight by decision.
UFC 320 Best Bet: Magomed Ankalaev wins at -258 with DraftKings Sportsbook
Other 320 Best Bets
Merab Dvalishvili (-375) vs. Cory Sandhagen (+295)
The co-main event of UFC 320 features UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili taking on top contender Cory Sandhagen. Dvalishvili is a -375 favorite, and I think he wins his third title fight of 2025.
Dvalishvili is 34, and he is 13-2 in the UFC. The Georgian is the reigning and defending UFC bantamweight champion, having won the belt last year and having defended it twice so far in 2025. Dvalishvili is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in MMA today. He is a dominant wrestler who can take his opponents down and control them for 25 minutes while maintaining a high work rate, throwing lots of strikes, and gaining superior positions on the mat. Dvalishvili is close to solidifying himself as the bantamweight GOAT, and a win here would go a long way.
Sandhagen is 33, and he is 11-4 in the UFC. The American has been one of the top bantamweights in the UFC for many years, but this is his first chance at fighting for the belt. Sandhagen is an awesome fighter who is one of the top strikers at 135 lbs, and he has slick grappling as well. Plus, he is durable and goes for the full 25 minutes in his sleep. The problem with Sandhagen is his takedown defense, which is just 63%. That’s not a good enough number to take on someone like Dvalishvili, who figures to look for the takedown early and often. As great a fighter as Sandhagen is, this looks like a bad stylistic matchup for him on paper.
I think Dvalishvili will take Sandhagen down at will and control him on the ground with his wrestling for most of the 25 minutes this bout is set for. Sandhagen will be tough to finish, but Dvalishvili will dominate this bout. Take Dvalishvili at -375, and expect him to win a decision.
UFC 320 Best Bet: Merab Dvalishvili wins at -375 with DraftKings Sportsbook .
Farid Basharat (-440) vs. Chris Gutierrez (+340)
In bantamweight action on the prelims, undefeated prospect Farid Basharat takes on veteran Chris Gutierrez. Basharat is a -440 favorite, and I like him to win this fight.
Basharat is 28, and he is 4-0 in the UFC. The Afghan fighter earned a UFC contract following a win on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022, and he has looked fantastic so far inside the Octagon with four straight wins. If there is one knock on Basharat, it’s that he isn’t finishing his fights, but he’s still a very good prospect who is well-rounded with great wrestling and solid striking. At 13-0 so far in his MMA career, Basharat has yet to taste defeat inside the cage.
Gutierrez is 34, and he is 10-3, 1 NC in the UFC. The American is one of the best strikers in the UFC bantamweight division, known for his nasty kicks and powerful knees. He is basically a gatekeeper to the top 15 in the UFC, as he beats most unranked fighters but loses to the top guys. While he is a great striker, his ground game is his issue, as his takedown defense is not the best, so in this particular matchup, Basharat is likely going to try to take Gutierrez down.
Basharat has a significant wrestling advantage in this fight, and he should be able to take Gutierrez down and grind him out for a hard-fought win. Go with Basharat to win as a -440 favorite, and look for him to earn a decision victory against a durable and tough Gutierrez.
