Tip 1 - 1:58 Sedgefield - Glen Road
Better was expected of Glen Road on his chasing debut last time out. He jumped fairly poorly on the main before coming home in his own time. The switch to Sedgefield and its easier fences should suit this horse, who showed huge improvement over hurdles in the back half of last year. Trip and ground should suit and he may well be able to concede weight all round.

Tip 4 - 4:17 Sedgefield - Mersey Street
After winning well last time out Mersey Street can follow up for the O'Neills. The 3¼ length winning distance doesn’t really tell the story of how well he ran, with the horse that attempted to go with him at the front finishing 15 lengths behind in the end. What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
