Can anyone stop UConn?

That’s the biggest question going into the Final Four in Houston, where the No. 4-seeded Huskies are the college basketball betting favorite to cut down the nets with -125 college basketball odds for the title. San Diego State is next at +400, so oddsmakers have this as UConn’s tournament to lose.

The Huskies get it started in the second game Saturday night against a No. 5-seeded Miami team that erased an eight-point halftime deficit en route to an 88-81 upset win over Texas last week.

This has been the most wide-open NCAA Tournament of all time, with zero No. 1 seeds advancing to the Elite Eight. It all led up to the final showdowns in Houston, where we’ve constructed a same-game parlay for the nightcap Saturday as the Hurricanes look to upset the Huskies at NRG Stadium.

Leg 1: UConn -5.5 over Miami -115

The Huskies are the only team in this tournament that haven’t had to sweat yet. It’s been beatdown after beatdown, including an 82-54 win over Gonzaga in the Elite Eight. The Huskies were one of the trendiest Final Four picks at the end of the season for a reason.

They played one of the toughest schedules in the country and are peaking at the perfect time. Miami won a couple of wild games over Indiana and Texas, but they’ve had too many defensive lapses to be fully confident here.

UConn won’t let the Hurricanes get away with another comeback win like the one they scored against the Longhorns. We’re starting things off with UConn -5.5 on sports betting apps.

Leg 2: Adama Sanogo Over 17.5 Points -115

Sanogo has been an absolute load in the paint all year, and he’s averaging 20 points per game in this tournament. He’s been getting after it on the boards as well, giving himself occasional second chances if necessary.

The Hurricanes are pretty sound in terms of perimeter defense, but they struggle to prevent points in the paint at times. We figure the Huskies will go right at Miami with Sanogo out of the gate, and they won’t stop if he’s having success.

It’s gonna be a high-scoring matchup and we like Sanogo to have another big night and go Over 17.5 points.

Leg 3: Norchad Omier Under 10.5 Points +110

The Hurricanes have a very solid big man on their side as well in Norchad Omier. The 6-foot-7 sophomore averaged a double-double this season and he’s been absolutely pounding the glass, with 53 rebounds over four NCAA Tournament games.

But this is a tough individual matchup for him, with Sanogo and 7-foot-2 Huskies freshman Donovan Clingan ready to go defensively. Shutting Omier down individually should be a top priority for the Huskies, and we think Miami’s star big man could have a rough night. We’re on Under 10.5 points for Omier.
