There’s a young sleeping giant in the East. The Atlanta Hawks have set a foundation with a pair of future All-Stars, complemented them with rookie wings and a handful of veterans that should have this team contending in the East sooner than later. They’re not there yet, but this team will make noise in the next few years.

Here are the key odds available and how you should bet them:

Hawks Win-Total Betting

The Line: 33.5 with 888sport

Trae Young and John Collins exploded toward the end of the year and helped the Hawks go 7-5 down the stretch. The offense will be one of the NBA’s best and should make up for an ugly defense enough to help them get over their win total.

The Bet: This is one of our favorite bets on the board.

Hawks Southeast Division Odds

The Line: +700 with DraftKings

The Orlando Magic were a playoff team a year ago and bring back most of their core. The Miami Heat added Jimmy Butler. Both those teams are better than the Hawks right now, so while Atlanta will be better, it’s unlikely they jump both playoff contenders and win the Southeast.

The Bet: These odds are juicy, but it’s probably not a great bet.

Hawks Eastern Conference Odds

The Line: +6500 with FanDuel

The Hawks are still a core full of young talent that hasn’t fully blossomed, so even if they make a surprise playoff appearance, they’re nowhere close to the Bucks, 76ers or Celtics.

The Bet: This is a bet to stay away from, but you should be buying long-term futures in this team.

Hawks NBA Title Odds

The Line: +15000 with 888sport

The Hawks might build the next organic East contender. That’s not to say they’ll be a Warriors-like dynasty, but they’ve built their core through excellent draft picks. Veterans will want to play in Atlanta soon.

The Bet: This is a bet to stay from, but the combination of Young-Collins has serious potential down the road.

Best Hawks Player Prop Bets

The Line: John Collins to be an All-Star +350 with PointsBet

Collins quietly posted averages of 19.5 points on 56% shooting and 9.8 rebounds last season. MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was the only other player to reach those numbers. He has great rapport with Young, who could lead the NBA in assists this season.

The Bet: Collins is a prime candidate to make a significant Year 3 leap. He won’t be a secret for much longer, and is a great bet to be an All-Star.
