2025 Breanna Stewart Odds: Can Stewart Break WNBA All-Time Scoring Record?

With the WNBA regular season tipping off over the weekend, Bookies.com developed hypothetical sports betting odds projecting if and when New York Liberty superstar forward Breanna Stewart can pass Diana Taurasi’s all-time scoring record. As of now, Stewie has 5,419 points, and Taurasi’s record is 10,646.

While no one is proclaiming that the 9th year veteran forward will score enough points to overtake Taurasi, it is worth mentioning that at Stewart’s current points per season pace of roughly 678 points, she’d have to play for eight more seasons to score the 5,227 needed to catch the former UConn and Phoenix Mercury star guard.  

Given her increase in point production since coming to the New York Liberty from the Seattle Storm in 2023, with 1,696 points in 78 games played (or 21.7 PPG, compared with 20.3 PPG with the Storm), it’s fair to say that the two-time WNBA MVP might catch up with Taurasi sooner than that.  

That’s why we give her the best odds (+250) of scoring 5,228 points or more by the 2030 season, when Stewart would be in her age-35 season, beating out the odds that the former UConn frontcourt superstar does it in 2031 (+350), 2032 (+550), the 2033 season or later (+850) or in 2029 (+900).

On the opposite ends of the Stewart scoring spectrum, the veteran forward holds +2000 odds of eclipsing Taurasi’s scoring mark before the 2029 WNBA league year and +425 odds of never making it to the hallowed figure of 10,646 points before she hangs up her sneakers for good.  

For now, what we do know is that Stewart and the Liberty are the favorites to repeat as WNBA champions in 2025 on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the New York-based operator giving head coach Sandy Brondello and her team +230 odds of winning it all again this season.
