Michigan sports betting fans have lots of wagering options ahead of the first Sunday slate of NFL games this season, and BetMGM is the latest sportsbook to offer new users a strong promo just in time for betting on the NFL.

New BetMGM customers can make a risk-free bet up to the value of $1,000. If the first bet cashes, you cash! But if your first bet is a loser, then BetMGM Sportsbook will give you site credits to the amount of your losing bet, providing you with another opportunity to win.

This BetMGM promo is one of several offers available for bettors in Michigan ahead of one of the most anticipated Sundays of the year. You can also get a Bet $10, Win $200 offer if your team scores a TD. If you bet $10 on the Lions and they score one TD during the game vs. the 49ers, you'll win $200 in free bets to use at BetMGM Sportsbook. You don't have to use the promo on the Lions, any NFL matchup is eligible for the promotion.

Finally, BetMGM is also giving away a risk-free TD bet on the Week 1 matchups. Wager on a player to score the first TD of any NFL game and you’ll get up to $25 in Free Bets if your wager loses.

Lions Face 49ers In Week 1

The Lions underwent another overhaul this past offseason and the team has a new coach in Dan Campbell, a new GM in Brad Holmes and a new starting QB in Jared Goff. This rebuild is being branded as one that will be steady, but slow.

The Lions begin their season by playing host to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. BetMGM has Detroit as a +280 underdog on the moneyline. The latest NFL spreads have the line set at Detroit +7.5 at home.

The 49ers are going with Jimmy Garoppolo as their starting QB over 1st-round pick Trey Lance. San Francisco is even with Green Bay at +1400 to win the Super Bowl, while the Lions are near the bottom at +25000. The Niners are just two years removed from the Super Bowl and Kyle Shanahan looks to move past last year’s 6-10 finish.
