The Sports Equinox is upon us. Are you prepared for this glorious Sunday gambling slate?

For just the 19th time in history, all four major professional sports leagues – NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB – have games on the same day. This was made possible when the Houston Astros beat the Washington Nationals in Game 3 of the World Series, ensuring a Game 5 Sunday night.

FanDuel is marking the occasion with a free promotion in which users pick all 26 games against the spread. Players who correctly pick at least 20 games will get a share of the payouts. In addition to Game 5 of the World Series, the schedule includes 13 NFL games, seven NHL games and five NBA games.

4-Sport Parlay to back Sunday

Since this isn’t something that happens every day, sports bettors might want to take advantage with an unsual four-sport parlay. Here’s a four-game bet we like ahead of a historic Sunday sports schedule. To make this bet, go to the top of this article and click on the "CLAIM" button to head over to FanDuel. You can also sign up by clicking this link and make the picks.

  • NFL: Colts Moneyline (-225) over Broncos
  • NHL: Blackhawks Moneyline (-140) over Kings
  • NBA: Warriors -1 over Thunder
  • MLB: Astros Moneyline (-152)

PROJECTED PAYOUT: $652 on $100 bet. Note: Odds are current as of publication.

Sports Oddity Been More Frequent Recently

It’s the third consecutive year in which a Sports Equinox has occurred, and last year included the oddity of five Los Angeles area pro teams playing home games on the same day with the Kings, Rams, MLS’ Galaxy, Clippers and Dodgers. The Boston Red Sox beat the Dodgers, 5-1, to win the World Series.

While the World Series game doesn’t start until 8 p.m. ET, the action starts with the 1 p.m. NFL slate. The biggest football game of the day gets going at 4:05 p.m. with the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers hosting the Carolina Panthers. The 49ers are favored by 5.5 points, and you can check out all of our NFL expert picks right here.

The NBA season tipped off last week and LeBron James will be in action at 9:40 p.m. ET Sunday night with the Los Angeles Lakers favored by 13 points at home against the Charlotte Hornets. You can find all of our NBA expert picks right here.
