NFL Week 14 DFS Picks: Ride Kyler Murray Even vs Steelers

Week 13 was another fantastic and profitable week for us at Bookies.com as we found daily fantasy value in drafting players like Miles Sanders, Dede Westbrook, Davante Adams and Darren Waller. With some luck, our entire Week 13 lineup should have cashed despite a few players scoring below their season average.

NFL Week 14 should be another exciting DFS week with several intriguing matchups on Sunday afternoon. Here are our best plays for the week:

Best Week 14 DFS QB

Cardinals QB Kyler Murray ($ 5,800 DraftKings)

Matchup: Arizona Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Opposing quarterbacks haven’t had much success in recent weeks against a Steelers’ defense that is among the best in the NFL. However, Pittsburgh hasn’t played a quarterback like Kyler Murray in a while, either. Pittsburgh is a road favorite but Murray might be the perfect quarterback to have some success against this Steelers' defense.

Murray has been fantastic at home this season, scoring 22 fantasy points per game. With his ability to move around in the pocket, he might neutralize some of the Steelers' pass-rush. With Pittsburgh's offense struggling to sustain drives, look for Murray to get a ton of chances to put up points at home with his full arsenal of weapons. There is certainly some risk in playing Murray against the fifth-best defense against opposing quarterbacks, but there is some monster upside, as well. Considering the price, this might be a worthwhile gamble in Week 14.

Best Week 14 DFS RB

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs ($6,500 on DraftKings)

NFL Week 14 DFS Picks: Ride Kyler Murray Even vs Steelers 1

Matchup: Oakland Raiders vs. Tennessee Titans

Week 14 features one of the best running back battles of the week as Derrick Henry’s Tennessee Titans face Josh Jacobs and the Oakland Raiders. Both players have been outstanding this season and the player who has the most success on Sunday will likely help determine the final outcome.

Jacobs has been a workhorse for the Raiders this season, touching the ball 236 times in 12 games. That total would be even higher if Oakland stayed in games longer, but that hasn't been the case over the last few weeks. Look for Jacobs to continue his elite play at home as he has averaged nearly 22 fantasy points per game at the Oakland Alameda Coliseum. He should see close to 20 touches on Sunday against a Titans defense that has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Jacobs is a must-start in Week 14.

Best Week 14 DFS WR

Patriots WR Julian Edelman ($7,100 on DraftKings)

Matchup: New England Patriots vs. Kansas City Chiefs

It has been hard to trust anyone in the Patriots offense this season as the team has struggled mightily to score points. However, one player who has been relatively consistent is Julian Edelman. He has seen double-digit targets in seven straight games and is averaging more than 76 receiving yards per contest. What is even more impressive is how dominant he has been at home, averaging nearly 21 fantasy points per game.

With the Chiefs coming to town look for Tom Brady to lean heavily on his favorite target in this one. It’s also worth noting that in 2018, Edelman caught 11 passes for 150 yards and one touchdown in his two games against the Chiefs. Don’t be surprised if he matches that total this week against Kansas City.

Best Week 14 DFS TE

Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph ($4,400 on DraftKings)

NFL Week 14 DFS Picks: Ride Kyler Murray Even vs Steelers 2

Matchup: Minnesota Vikings vs. Detroit Lions

Finding value at tight end has been difficult this season unless you play whoever is facing the Cardinals. While a ton of people will likely play Vance McDonald in Week 14, a potential fade would be to go with Kyle Rudolph at nearly the same price.

Rudolph nearly always shines late in a season. He has caught at least one touchdown in four straight games, seeing a total of 21 targets in that period. With the Vikings facing the Detroit Lions, one of the worst defenses in the NFL this season, expect Minnesota to be in the red zone early and often. Don't be surprised if Rudolph extends his touchdown streak to five games. He is an excellent value in Week 14.

Best Week 14 DFS FLEX

Steelers WR Diontae Johnson ($4,300 on DraftKings)

Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals

If you are looking for a cheap flex play for under $4,500, look no further than Steelers rookie Diontae Johnson. With JuJu Smith-Schuster sidelined, Johnson has filled in as the team's No. 2 receiver with James Washington becoming the top target. Washington will likely draw All-Pro cornerback Patrick Peterson this week, which could allow Johnson to have a big game.

Johnson has seen at least four targets in four straight games and will now face an Arizona pass defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing receivers. Johnson might not have the floor of some other flex options at similar prices, but there is a chance he has a monster game in Week 14. Consider playing the Steelers’ rookie against the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
