This week on Thursday Night Football we should have a highly competitive and entertaining game between the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots with two of the league's best head coaches, Bill Belichick and Sean McVay, squaring off. Both teams play in highly competitive divisions, so this could be a key game for potential playoff seeding come January. Here’s what fans of NFL betting need to know when approaching this game.

Patriots vs Rams Odds To Back

Patriots vs Rams Betting Analysis

All of a sudden, the Patriots find themselves in the AFC playoff hunt. While they are still a few games back from a wild-card berth, they've won four of their last five and their defense is starting to play better. On the other side, the Rams lead the NFC West by a half-game and need to keep ahead of Seattle to win the division.

Patriots-Rams Moneyline Betting

The Rams are the clear-cut favorite in this game. McVay has this team playing well, especially on defense. Los Angeles is allowing only 20 points per game this season, the fifth-fewest in the NFL. With the Patriots being so one dimensional on offense, look for the Rams to slow down New England’s rushing attack and ultimately find a way to sneak out a narrow victory.

However, it's not easy to pick against Belichick and the Patriots here, especially when you consider they've won six straight against the Rams. We've seen Belichick and his coaching disciples shut down Jared Goff, and that could mean this game too. But considering how much New England has struggled to pass this season, take the Rams to win this game straight up with Unibet.

Patriots-Rams Spread Betting

The point spread is a much more difficult bet here. Can the Rams really beat New England by more than a touchdown? The Rams have failed to cover the spread in five straight games against AFC East opponents. This season alone, we've seen the Rams fall to the Bills and Dolphins straight-up. Both of those teams are better than the Patriots and have more offensive firepower.

New England is well-coached in all three phases of the game and rarely do the Pats beat themselves. This game should come down to the last few possessions and look for this game to ultimately be decided by a field goal or less. Take the Patriots and the points at DraftKings.

Patriots-Rams Over/Under Betting

The total for this interconference matchup was initially set at 44.5 points, which feels about right considering how well each defense has played as of late. These are two of the top scoring defenses in the NFL and both have playmakers on that side of the ball. Both sides want to play a ball-control style of offense, using the running game to keep the opponent's offense off the field.

Expect that to be the case again this week as each coach uses the run game heavily on the short week. The under has hit in five straight home games for the Rams and eight of the last 12 games for the Patriots. Expect this to be a low-scoring game at SoFi Stadium in the neighborhood of 23-21. Wager on the Under at FOX Bet.
