The NFL betting schedule offers its penultimate game Sunday evening. The Detroit Lions visit the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET and the game airs on FOX.

The 49ers earned the top seed in the NFC and held off the Packers in the Divisional Round. The Lions beat the LA Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home to reach the conferment title game.

The 49ers and Packers played in the rain last week during the Divisional round. This weekend, the weather is expected to be perfect for football, or just about anything else. Temperatures will be in the high 60s around kickoff under partly cloudy skies.

NFL odds opened with the 49ers as 6.5-point favorites. Early money quickly pushed the number to -7, before it moved to 7.5 points later in the week. The total is a lofty 51.5 points.

Let’s take a look at some of the best player prop bets to back.

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle: Over 59.5 Receiving Yards

Odds: -114 at FanDuel

Best Bets: George Kittle crushed his total of 53.5 last week, catching a TD and racking up 81 yards receiving yards. Kittle was primed for a big week coming off a two-week rest period. And the 49ers needed to control the ball and clock after losing Deebo Samuel. Whether Samuel plays or not this week, he’ll likely be less than 100%.

This means QB Brock Purdy, who we expect to be under immense pressure all day, will be looking for his safety play – Kittle over the middle and Christian McCaffrey on the swing pass.

San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk: Over 5.5 Receptions

Odds: +125 at DraftKings

Best Bet: We like Brandon Aiyuk going over 5.5 catches for three reasons. One, Deebo Samuel’s status remains up in the air, and if he does play, the Lions will focus on keeping him covered and contained. Two, the Lions got torched by Tampa Bay’s receiving corps last week. Baker Mayfield threw for 349 yards, and 2 TDs against the Lions. Mike Evans boosted his free-agency status with 8 catches for 147 yards – and that was with 2 balls falling in and out of his hands. Three, the Lions have allowed 13 different receivers to make 6 or more catches in a game this season.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy: Over 0.5 Interceptions

Odds: +110 at DraftKings

Best Bet: The Lions will be pressuring Brock Purdy from both sides on the edge. Purdy will be hit each time he throws the ball in this game. And the Lions, despite giving up 348 yards to Mayfield, picked him off twice Sunday, including his final attempt of the game. Purdy hasn’t thrown an interception in the postseason, but he was knocked out early by the Eagles in last year’s conference title game. And Detroit offers a ferocious pass rush similar to the one he faced in giving up 4 picks to the Ravens in Week 16.

Best NFL Prop Bets To Back Today: NFC Championship Edition 2

Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff: Over 260.5 Passing Yards

Odds: -115 at DraftKings

Best Bet: Jared Goff has already won an NFC Championship Game on the road. Of course, it was 5 years ago, and he got some help from the refs in New Orleans. Still, Goff has morphed into a borderline elite QB. And he’ll reach elite status with a Super Bowl win this season. Goff threw for 287 yards against Tampa Bay’s defense, which is no mean feat.

He threw the ball 43 times last week and should come to close to that number again this time. Goff is averaging 269.1 YPG passing, and he’s exceeding his average passing prop number by 13.5 YPF. He’s also hit the passing over in 11 of his past 14 games. Goff won’t get all his yards by throwing deep. The Lions signed Zach Ertz at TE this week, and Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery should each get at least 3 targets out of the backfield.

Detroit Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown: Anytime TD

Odds: +125 at FanDuel

Best Bet: Amon-Ra St. Brown gives Jared Goff a reliable target and someone who can find open space. The 49ers’ defense will be a challenge for Goff and the Lions but St. Brown matches up well with the San Francisco secondary. While St. Brown will often find himself in drop-zone coverage, he can get away from anyone in the league.

He’d scored 11 TDs this season, including the playoffs. The 49ers will be concerned with Gibbs and Sam LaPorta in the Red Zone. And with St. Brown likely to be targeted at least 30% of the time in the Red Zone, expect him to end up with a score at least once.
