Dak Prescott and the surging Dallas Cowboys still have the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC in their sights as they travel to Nashville to face the Tennessee Titans in the Week 17 edition of Thursday Night Football.

The Cowboys (11-4) are No. 5 in the NFC right now, but two wins and two Eagles losses could give them the No. 1 spot, or at least a first-round home playoff game. The Titans (7-8), on the other hand, are tied with the Jaguars atop the AFC South. It’s unlikely both those teams get to the postseason, putting major emphasis on next week’s showdown between the teams in Jacksonville.

This game means nothing to Tennessee’s playoff hopes and coach Mike Vrabel is playing it as such, sitting nearly half the team’s starters, including QB Malik Willis and RB Derrick Henry.

The latest Cowboys vs. Titans NFL betting odds have visiting Dallas as a massive 13.5-point favorite. The Over/Under shows a total of 40 points on betting apps as of writing.

Bookies.com NFL handicapper Adam Thompson – on the way to his fourth-consecutive season of 60%-plus success on NFL picks – reveals his best bets for this massive TNF matchup.

Cowboys vs. Titans Point Spread Prediction

Joshua Dobbs has not appeared in an NFL game since 2020 and has just 17 career pass attempts. He'll get the ball here to lead a Titans lineup that resembles Week 2 of the preseason more than Week 17 of the regular season.

The Titans are tanking this game. Henry is unlikely to play, and nine other starters were declared out on Wednesday as Vrabel offers a rest prior to next week’s showdown for the division title. That’s not going to help a pass defense that ranks 31st against a Dallas side that’s averaging 37.2 ppg the last six weeks.

This is a big spread, but the Titans are in freefall and aren’t putting their best foot forward. This spread is huge, but the Cowboys are motivated. Cowboys against the spread is a secondary play.

Cowboys vs. Titans Over/Under Best Bet

The Cowboys have averaged over 37 ppg the last month and a half. This total sits just three points over their usual output. Seems low, doesn’t it? It especially seems low because the Cowboys run defense is the biggest question mark at the moment. That’s music to the ears of a Titans team that will run the ball 50 times if allowed, even without Henry.

The Over has hit in all seven Cowboys games against opponents averaging under 21 ppg (Tennessee is at 17.9). The Under has ruled in Titans games but given the matchups, this total seems quite low. Jump on the Over as the top play for Thursday night.

Cowboys vs. Titans Moneyline Pick

Dallas is a hefty -800 on the moneyline, meaning it would take a $800 bet on the Cowboys to win to earn $100 in profit. Conversely, a winning $100 wager on the Titans nets $575 in profit (they have NFL odds of +575).

It would be hard-pressed to come up with a legit reason to side with Tennessee straight-up. The Titans have dropped five straight. They’ve been double-digit underdogs twice and lost both, once by only 3 to the Chiefs, the other by 34 to the Bills. We’re staying off the ML, but Dallas would be the side we’d sprinkle.

Best Cowboys vs. Titans Player Props

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Over 16.5 Receiving Yards

Odds: -115 at BetMGM

Westbrook-Ikhine’s production has been highly erratic. He’s gone over 17 receiving yards in five of the last seven weeks, but had zero and four yards the other two (and 119 in one of the games). Still, this could be a possible Willis watch party – let’s see what he really has – which means more throwing. Nick should be, at worst, the No. 2 option in the pass game.

Joshua Dobbs, Over 0.5 Pass TDs

Odds: +105 at DraftKings

Dobbs has never tossed an NFL touchdown but with Henry out and this game of little consequence, perhaps the playbook gets opened up so Dobbs can show what he has. He threw 39 TDs in two seasons at Tennessee, so we know it’s in there somewhere.
