As we hit the halfway point of the first month of the NFL season, we start to see some of the DNA that makes up a football team. In this case, we may still have some questions about the longevity of how good Denver can really be, as opposed to the Jets, who look to be in the running for the worst team in the league.

Teddy Bridgewater continues to lead his team successfully ATS, and this may be the week sportsbooks take notice. Most successful NFL betting is balancing when to get ahead of a number versus when the number is already too large to play.

Denver covered both spreads in each of the first two weeks, with an efficient offense and stifling defense. The Jets have looked awful on offense with no balance on defense, not nearly enough to counter Zach Wilson turning over the football. This is the largest of the NFL spreads on the entire slate.

The Broncos are a heavy -10.5 home favorite against the lowly Jets, who come into the game winless. New York is a huge +460 longshot on the ML, with the Broncos at -599. The total sits at the key number 41 despite it being low compared to most other games on the slate.

Take a look at Jets vs Broncos odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Jets vs. Broncos Key Matchups

Teddy Bridgewater vs. Robert Saleh: Since Teddy entered the league, nobody has covered more football games at the QB position than Bridgewater. This isn’t done by accident or by launching the football down the field. It’s the job of the Jets HC and his defense to cause turnovers against one of the most efficient QBs in the league.

Zach Wilson vs. Zach Wilson: The Jets will be out of this game fast if Wilson can’t control the turnovers. Don’t be shocked if you see short, quick passes out of Wilson’s hands, doing his best Bridgewater imitation before the inevitable interception.

Denver vs. Boredom: We are two weeks into making NFL picks and the Jets are terrible. Wilson and Corey Davis late in the 4th can still be a dangerous backdoor unless Denver keeps the pressure on all game.

Jets vs. Broncos Key Stats

38-14: This is Bridgewater’s record ATS since starting in the league. This ridiculous number is a representation of how difficult it is to knock him out of any game, even with a lead.

4: Zach Wilson threw four interceptions last week against the Patriots defense. Denver has a monster pass rush and should be in Wilson’s face all day.

109: The total yards by Jets RBs Michael Carter and Ty Johnson. The numbers were pretty much split, with Carter getting 59 yards, and it should be a weapon against Denver.

592/4/0: This is Bridgewater’s season line for yardage/TD/INT. Denver saw their QB do this against two teams better than the Jets.

4: The Broncos have three pass-catchers playing through injury, including Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant. Jerry Jeudy is already out, making up the fourth receiver dealing with an injury.

Jets vs. Broncos Moneyline

There really isn’t too much to look at here outside of the Jets winning would be the biggest upset on the board this week. Denver is at home following two straight road victories and covers, so losing to the Jets in their home opener would be ludicrous. None of the legal betting sites are giving you a break here, so best bet would be to anchor the Broncos ML in a 3-4 leg parlay.

Jets vs. Broncos Point Spread

There’s simply zero reason to take the Jets here on your sports betting app if you are playing the line. New York was manhandled last week, and barely had a pulse in Week 1. Yes, double-digit spreads are never easy to cover, but this is Denver’s home opener, and they have a ridiculously accurate and efficient quarterback. The line gets a little tricky north of 11.5, but anything under 11 should be bet with confidence. Bet the Broncos -10.5 (-105) at FanDuel .

Jets vs. Broncos Totals

This is where the Jets could cause a problem, especially for those who feel Wilson could bounce back from last week. The offense has the ability between QB and WR to move the ball down the field, but their OL has been a major liability. Meanwhile the Broncos aren’t ever looking to put up 30+ points, so the game plan might be safe and efficient. Expect the ball to come out of both QB’s hands fast, quick passes move the clock. Take the U 41.5 (-110) at DraftKings .
