A pair of 1-1 teams face off in the NFL Week 3 edition of Sunday Night Football, as Jimmy Garoppolo and the Las Vegas Raiders host Kenny Pickett and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Raiders edged the rival Broncos in Week 1 but were throttled in Buffalo last Sunday. The Steelers took their licks in Week 1 at the hands of the 49ers but rallied for a 26-22 win over the Browns on Monday night to even their mark.

Vegas is at -2.5 in the latest Steelers vs. Raiders NFL odds, with the total at 43.5 points, the third-lowest Over/Under of the week in NFL betting

Bookies.com veteran NFL handicapper Adam Thompson – who has hit on a whopping 62-64% of his NFL best bets three years running, reveals his plays for the matchup of longtime AFC stalwarts.

Steelers at Raiders Odds

Steelers at Raiders Against The Spread Pick

No offense has a tougher strength-of-schedule through two weeks than the Steelers, who had to contend with Nick Bosa’s 49ers and Myles Garrett’s Browns. What a breath of fresh air it should be to face the Raiders, who rank dead-last in QB pressures and knockdowns and 27th in rush yards allowed.

Pittsburgh ranks No. 1 in pressures and No. 2 in knockdowns. Jimmy Garoppolo last year with the stronger 49ers had a 35.2 QB rating under pressure. It’s a big reason we lean toward the Under, but a bigger reason why Steelers +2.5 is one of our top bets of the weekend

Steelers vs. Raiders Over/Under Best Bet

The total of 43.5 on sports betting apps is among the lowest of Week 3, but compared to what these offenses have been producing, it’s sky high. Combined, the Steelers and Raiders average just 30 ppg.

There’s little to suggest a huge breakout performance from either offense. Pittsburgh’s defense did most of the scoring in the team’s win over the Browns. Vegas’ offense has potential, but again, the Steelers’ defense is stout, and its offense is a big work in progress. The Under is a solid play for Sunday night.

Raiders vs. Steelers Moneyline Best Bet

The spread if 2.5 points is about where it should be, according to my estimations. But the wrong team is favored. Of the four units of play for the Raiders and Steelers, Pittsburgh’s defense is the only one to have shown any level of heightened play.

Add in the Raiders’ defensive woes, and this is a game the Steelers can win. Consider the Steelers, which can be had for +130 at BetRivers

Raiders vs. Steelers Top Player Props

Kenny Pickett, Over 221.5 Pass Yards (-114)

Pickett has been under duress through two weeks. We expect a different environment for the second-year QB on Sunday night. Vegas ranks last in QB pressures and Raiders opponents are completing 84% of their pass attempts to WRs.

Pickett has gone for 232 and 222 yards through two weeks against two of the toughest defenses in the land. He should get way more time to throw than he’s used to. That confidence should lead to success through the air for the Steelers. Find the best number and the best odds for this prop at FanDuel

George Pickens, Over 50.5 Receiving Yards

Pickens had three receptions for 50 yards before a 77-yard TD catch-and-run vs. the Browns in Week 2. More important, he had 10 targets. If that number stands, he’s on track to get 7-8 catches, and cruise past this total.

Regardless of who lines up across from him, Pickens should feast on a cornerback crew that is either young or not very consistent. Get the highest odds for Pickens over at BetMGM
