Both Tampa Bay and Washington are coming off a much-needed bye week as they prepare for the second half of the season. The Buccaneers are certainly in a better spot going into the final nine weeks of the season, but Washington somehow isn’t out of the playoff race in the NFC.

Washington played the Buccaneers really well in the NFC Wild Card round last year, but the defense has taken a step backward this year. But can they get back into rhythm against the greatest quarterback of all-time? It should be a really fantastic battle in Washington with them desperately needing a win to save their season.

To get you ready for this NFC matchup, here is everything you need to know from an NFL betting perspective going into Week 10.

Take a look at Buccaneers vs. Washington odds, injury report, betting lines and more.

Buccaneers vs. Washington Key Matchups

Buccaneers RT Tristan Wirfs vs. Washington DE Chase Young: Wirfs might be the league’s best right tackle and he will face former No. 2 pick Chase Young on Sunday. Young has been a bit of a disappointment this year, totaling just 1.5 sacks in eight games.

Buccaneers WR Mike Evans vs. Washington CB Kendall Fuller: Evans has scored four touchdowns in his last two games and Fuller will likely draw him in Week 10. Fuller has had a nice season for Washington, but Tampa Bay should have an advantage here.

Washington WR Terry McLaurin vs. Buccaneers CB Jamel Dean: If Washington is going to move the ball through the air, look for McLaurin to have a big day. Dean, the No. 1 cornerback for TB, should follow him on Sunday.

Buccaneers vs. Washington Stats

1-7: Washington is just 1-7 ATS in their last eight games.

14: Tampa Bay has won 14 of their last 16 games dating back to 2020.

19.5: Washington has the No. 25 ranked scoring offense, averaging just 19.5 points per game.

32.5: Tampa Bay has the No. 1 ranked scoring offense, averaging 32.5 points per game.

286.75: Washington has the league’s worst pass defense, allowing 286.75 passing yards per game.

Buccaneers vs. Washington Moneyline

As you would expect, the Buccaneers are huge favorites (-435) on betting apps in this game coming out of their Week 9 bye week. Tampa Bay has been an excellent road team with Tom Brady, winning 10 of their last 12 road contests. Washington, on the other hand, is just 1-6 in their last seven games at FedEx Field.

While the Buccaneers are likely to win this game pretty easily, there just isn’t any NFL odds value here on either Tampa Bay or Washington. Pass on this moneyline as part of your NFL picks in favor of the point spread.

Buccaneers vs. Washington Point Spread

Washington is a double-digit underdog on betting sites at home in Week 10. That rarely happens in the NFL, especially with a team that does have as much talent as they do. But the quarterback situation for Washington and their opponent makes this a difficult game to pick. Can they score enough points to keep it close? Maybe, but it will be up to the defense to do the heavy lifting on Sunday and keep Brady under 30 points.

But with Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski both unlikely to play in Week 10, look for Washington to hang around and potentially pull off the backdoor cover. Take the Washington Football Team +10 (-110) on PointsBet to cover this monster spread at home.

Buccaneers vs. Washington Totals

The total for this game sits at 51.5 points on most sportsbooks and that seems high considering how much Washington has struggled on offense this season. They are averaging less than 20 points per game this season and have scored a combined 33 points in their last three contests.

Even after a bye week, don’t expect them to have a ton of success in this game against a defense that has an incredible pass rush. Take the Under 51.5 (-110) on FanDuel and expect a 28-20 type of game in Washington.
