With another ridiculously entertaining Masters now behind us, how in the world could any tournament expect to draw an elite field the very next week after players depart from Augusta National?

A $20 million purse is a good start.

This week’s RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links is a signature event, with most of the top players in the world stopping by Hilton Head this week to ensure the Masters hangover won’t last too long. It turns out that posting a prize of $4 million for the outright winner tends to attract top talent.

This is a different type of challenge for DFS picks and golf betting – there are less than 70 players in the field and there’s no 36-hole cut. We’ll see the top guys in the world duke it out for the second straight week, including last week’s winner and now two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler.

Scheffler is the top-priced player on the DraftKings board by a wide margin, listed at $13,300 ahead of Rory McIlroy ($11,200) and Xander Schauffele ($10,800)

Ludvig Aberg is fourth at $10,400 after the 24-year-old finished solo second in his first career major start at the Masters.

While the action at Augusta National always lives up to the hype, we’ll see what everyone has in store for an encore this week in Hilton Head.

Masters Picks By Price

14K-9K Range

Xander Schauffele, $10,800: We’re not taking Scheffler this week, but it doesn’t have anything to do with the golf. He’s won three of his last four starts and it’s now clear we’re witnessing a once-in-a-generation type run. The problem is his wife is due with their first child and Scheffler might need to leave the tournament at any time.

We’ll go with the “safer” – certainly cheaper – option on top of Schauffele. He’s had seven top-10s in his last nine starts and looks dialed in across the bag. While he never really contended at Augusta, a solo eighth finish is still solid and now the pressure is off. We’re going with Schauffele over Scheffler to kick things off in Hilton Head.

Patrick Cantlay, $10,200: We haven’t seen anything close to Cantlay’s best golf lately. It’s been 20 months since his last victory and off-course obligations seem to be impacting his play. But if there’s anywhere Cantlay can show up and find a spark, it’s Harbour Town. Cantlay has five top-10s and four top-3s in just six career starts here and it’s a perfect course fit. The putter has been a little cold lately, but that doesn’t matter as much this week. We like Cantlay to start getting back into form.

9K-8K Range

Shane Lowry, $8,500: Lowry was a popular Masters long shot pick, but he couldn’t make anything on the greens and finished T-43 at Augusta National. The irons were still dialed and he hit plenty of fairways, which is all you need to do to give yourself a chance around here. Lowry had a pair of top-5 finishes last month and he’s played well here in the past, with two T-3s and a T-9 in six starts. We like Lowry to bounce back strong at Harbour Town.

Russell Henley, $8,100: We wouldn’t be surprised to see Henley win this week. There are only so many courses on Tour where his lack of pop off the tee doesn’t hurt him, but fairways and greens are what it’s all about at Hilton Head. Henley already has three top-5s on the season and he finished T-38 last week at Augusta, where he’s left with a ton of long irons into tiny windows. This week is far more his speed. Get Henley in the lineup.

8K-7K Range

J.T. Poston, $7,600: Poston has been boom or bust at this event, with three top-10s and two missed cuts over five starts. We expect another strong result this week given the direction of his game. While the results haven’t been mind-blowing lately, he’s improved in four straight tournaments and finished T-30 with a solid showing at Augusta National. His wedge game around the greens is a huge bonus into these tiny putting surfaces and Poston has contended plenty of times over the past year.

Brendon Todd, $7,100: We’re surprised to see Todd available on the cheap. He finished T-5 his last time out at the Valero Texas Open, and he was T-6 in his last signature event at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. This is an even better course fit for the 38-year-old, who will be more rested than most of the field having failed to qualify for the Masters. Watching from the couch should add a little extra motivation as well. We’re all over the Toddfather at Harbour Town.

7K And Below

Adam Hadwin, $6,700: We liked Hadwin as an Augusta dark horse contender and it didn’t work out. Hadwin’s chances were sunk with a slow start and a 10-over-par 82 in brutal conditions on Saturday. But he finished with a 2-under 70 on Sunday to build some momentum and he’s still just a few weeks removed from a T-5 at the Valspar. This is a very similar course and we like Hadwin’s chances out of the bargain bin.

Rickie Fowler, $6,600: There was plenty to like from Fowler at Augusta National. He didn’t break the streak and become the first ever Par 3 Contest winner to take home the green jacket on Sunday, but he looked great over the weekend with rounds of 71 and 72 to finish T-30. He’s gotta get off to better starts, but the short game still looks solid and that’s always a great sign at Harbour Town.
