The self-professed Special One Jose Mourinho was sacked as manager of Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce after failing to qualify for the Champions League. It followed a tumultuous year in charge that provided more moaning off the pitch than positivity on it.
Given Mourinho’s high profile, and his lust for winning trophies everywhere he’s been (sorry, Tottenham fans), it is no surprise that his name is being linked to jobs all around the world. Indeed, the best football betting sites around have been pricing up what the Portuguese coach’s next move will be. Will he stay in Europe, or chase the riches on offer elsewhere in the world? Bayer Leverkusen have just sacked Erik ten Hag, so there is an opening for him in the Bundesliga, a league he has never managed in before.

Will Leverkusen Be Tempted by Star Name?
There have only been two seasons since Bayer Leverkusen went all season unbeaten in the Bundesliga, beating perennial champions Bayern Munich to the title. However, Xabi Alonso is now at Real Madrid and his replacement in Germany lasted just two league matches!
Most betting sites have the German club as the favourites for his next destination, possibly because he is available. However, the latest odds with betting apps suggest it could happen.
Mourinho Set for Saudi Venture?
With Mourinho’s star fading somewhat after being sacked in his last five roles with Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, Roma and now Fenerbahce, perhaps he will look for a larger payday than he might be able to secure elsewhere. That would be in the form of the rapidly expanding Saudi Pro League.
With the league and clubs continually looking to add huge names to help expand the league, it only makes sense that Mourinho would be linked with a role. His odds of joining a club in the league with new betting sites would suggest it is not out of the question.
Would Old Firm Rivalry Fit Mourinho?
Mourinho made his name in football management with Porto before going on to create a CV that almost every manager in the world would be daunted by. That would have previously made a move into Scottish football unthinkable. However, with Mourinho's profile not what it once was, and Rangers having ambitious owners, perhaps this could be the perfect marriage.
Russell Martin has overseen a very poor start to the season, so much so that top UK betting sites have already started pricing up the next Rangers manager odds while he's still in situ. The old Firm rivalry is not for the faint-hearted, and no one could ever accuse of Mourinho of being so.

International Management Could Come Calling
There has been a belief for some time that eventually Mourinho would manage the Portugal national team, while there were reports that Mourinho could have been a target for the FA to manage England some time ago.
While Portugal have a manager seemingly safely in charge in Roberto Martinez, England's Thomas Tuchel only has a deal that takes him to the end of next year's World Cup, so expect Mourinho’s odds to shorten with most fast withdrawal betting sites if he stays out of a job until then.
