Ruben Amorim was supposed to bring around a change in fortune for the red half of Manchester after he had done such a good job with Sporting CP. However, he has find his time at Manchester United tough sledding since taking over from figure of fun Erik ten Hag. The club are now on the search for a successor.
The best football betting sites have already opened a market on who could replace the Portuguese manager even this early in the season after their ignominious departure from the Carabao Cup at the hands of League Two Grimsby Town.
The best betting apps don't think a move is necessarily imminent, but the likes of Gareth Southgate, Xavi Hernandez, Michael Carrick and Crystal Palace's Oliver Glasner feature prominently on the market at top UK betting sites.

Will Gareth Southgate be Tempted Back into Club Management?
Gareth Southgate started out his managerial career with Middlesbrough, whom he finished his playing career with. He then went into the managerial wilderness for four years before taking charge of the England under-21 team and led them them with distinction before the top job came calling. He led England to a World Cup semi-final and the finals of both Euro 2020 and Euro 2024.
Whether he is interested in a return to management remains to be seen, but he is likely to be in demand after the job he did with the Three Lions and many UK betting sites believe he could be the man called upon by Jim Ratcliffe and the Old Trafford hierarchy.

Could Glasner Move Premier League Clubs to Red Devils?
Oliver Glasner could be on the Manchester United radar, according to the best new betting sites.
The Austrian has done a fabulous job with Crystal Palace since taking over from Roy Hodgson, leading the Eagles to their first-ever FA Cup trophy with victory over Man City last season. He then managed to secure the Community Shield with victory over Liverpool this year.
Glasner has spoken of his desire to see more investment at Palace now they are playing in Europe, and if he is unsatisfied with the work done by the club, perhaps we will seek pastures new at Old Trafford.

Zidane Among Favourites to Replace Amorim at United
Zinedine Zidane achieved great things with Real Madrid during his two spells with the giant Spanish club, winning two La Liga titles at the Bernabeu, although his real legacy was landing three Champions League crowns. He has worked with some of the best players in the world and might relish the challenge that could come available at Old Trafford.
There were strong rumours linking Zidane to the Manchester United hot seat when the 51-year-old left Real Madrid, and perhaps he would enjoy a project where there's a talented squad of players at his disposal who might be yet to realise their full potential.
He is among the favourites at most fast withdrawal betting sites, but there is some doubt about how much desire Zidane has to work in English football. Reports from France have suggested in the past that Zidane is content to take a back seat from management while he waits for his old colleague Didier Deschamps to step aside from the national team job, although the latter continues in his role for now.

Xavi Linked to Man United
The biggest names in the world are always likely to be linked with the top job at Old Trafford given the stature of the club, and Xavi Hernandez is certainly one of the biggest names in world football given his legendary status as a player and subsequent success as a manager with Barcelona.
Xavi left his role with the Catalan giants last summer and is sure to be interested in his next role having won La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup with the Camp Nou club. Trustly betting sites regard him as a viable option for the Old Trafford giants, and it wouldn't be surprise if he was spoken to about the role if it becomes vacant.

Old Trafford Return for Carrick or McKenna?
Michael Carrick has previously been part of management teams at Manchester United, and the former midfielder might have an ambition to take charge of the Red Devils at some point in the future. Carrick enjoyed a 12-year playing career at Old Trafford and made 316 appearances for the Red Devils, helping the team to win five Premier League titles and a Champions League crown.
Carrick was been head coach of Middlesbrough until the summer, so he would be a budget option for a team that is looking to save money. However, there's another Football League manager with Manchester United connections who is also making waves. Kieran McKenna took the Manchester United under-18 manager's position in 2016 before working under Jose Mourinho at the club.
McKenna has impressed a lot of teams after guiding Ipswich Town from League One to the Premier League. How Ipswich fare in their return to the Championship could have some bearing on McKenna's next move. At many operators on our list of betting sites, he is one of the favourites for the Old Trafford job.
