Wolves could soon be on the search for a new manager again after an awful start to the season. Vitor Pereira’s side have picked up just two points so far and sit rock bottom of the Premier League, most recently losing 3-2 at home to fellow relegation candidates Burnley which prompted the Portuguese to clash with supporters after full time.
Given that Wolves have not won since an incredible six-game winning streak at the business end of last season – a run which effectively secured their survival – it’s no surprise that football betting sites are expecting a change in the hotseat.
Pereira is heavy favourite in the Premier League Sack Race betting and barring an unlikely turnaround, looks set to be replaced despite reports that he is not under threat of losing his job.

Brendan Rodgers In For Premier League Return?
After parting ways with Celtic, Brendan Rogers might be looking for an immediate move back into management, and more importantly a move back into the Premier League. Wolves would be his fourth attempt at managing in the league after previous spells at Swansea, Liverpool and Leicester, with enough success at those clubs to just about have some credit in the bank to warrant another crack with a top division side.
Whether the Wolves hierarchy will want to appoint someone who has just fallen out with those above him is the big question here.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Also In Running
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been jobless since getting sacked by Besiktas back in August. The Norwegian has plenty of experience that would be of interest to a club like Wolves, most notably his three-year stint in charge of Manchester United.
That Besiktas role was Solskjaer’s first since 2021 and he may well be looking for a quick return to management. He’s a big name and has the kind of experience that the Wolves board could like the look of. It would be no shock to see his odds shorten on UK betting apps in the coming days.
Could Kevin Muscat Return To Wolves?
It was just a matter of weeks ago that Kevin Muscat was reportedly very close to taking the then-vacant Rangers job before it fell apart. That was due to him wanting to finish the season at Shanghai Port, which would have meant a delayed start at Rangers into November.
That may be less of a problem for Wolves as they look to find a way out of the mess they find themselves in. Muscat played for the club 180 times and has an impressive CV with trophy wins in Australia, Japan and China. Perhaps he is ready for a job in the Premier League, with odds at most Trustly betting sites suggesting he will interest the Wolves hierarchy.
