Tip 1 - 12:55 Uttoxeter - Flash In The Park
It’s difficult to back Flash In The Park, given he is one from 14 in rules races, but a win has to be around the corner. Last November he won a better race over course and distance than today’s from a mark of 103; the second home most recently won by 13 lengths from a mark of 107. However, since that victory, he has changed trainers and been maddeningly inconsistent. He’s finished in the top three twice from eight this year and has tumbled to a mark of 94. Today would be a good day to start bouncing back after three months off the track.

Tip 2 - 1:25 Uttoxeter - Top Jimmy
After getting his head in front first time out over hurdles, Top Jimmy will look to make it two from two over timber and also since his switch of trainer. He was a bit keen going early but still fought well at the finish, which suggests the step up in trip should be right up his street if he is able to settle early. The booking of Sam Twiston-Davies should help in that regard.

Tip 3 - 2:12 Newmarket - Spicy Marg
Spicy Marg has run some massive races this season, not least when winning a decent race at Glorious Goodwood. She was out of her depth next time out at York, but bounced back with a close fourth in the Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes over today’s course and distance, staying on late. Back in the calmer waters of this Listed event, she’s the one to beat.

Tip 4 - 2.55 Wetherby – Magistrato
Fresh off completing a hat trick over course and distance just over two weeks ago, Magitstrato is back to make it four in a row. The smallest margin of victory in those three wins was 11 lengths and although his handicap is taking monster hits with every race – he’s now 20lb up from the first of the hat trick – it still feels as though he has more to give.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?
We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundreds and hundreds of tips this year.
What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
