Tip 1 - 1:38 Pontefract - Sporting Light
Having not managed to get home last time out over seven furlongs, this drop in trip could be exactly what Sporting Light needs to pick up his first win on turf. He won a handicap quite comfortably off a couple of pounds lower than this, so he should have the scope to win off this mark, particularly as he is unexposed at this trip.

Tip 2 - 2:40 Stratford - Aslukwoodhaveit
Taking on an odds-on favourite is always a difficult proposition but Aslukwoodhavit is perhaps being unfairly overlooked here. The nine-year-old is coming off a fairly comfortable jumps win at Sedgefield last week to take his recent form to 323451, and even a rise back up to 119 is nothing he hasn’t dealt with before.

Tip 3 - 2:48 Killarney - Justenzia
Justenzia was a nice winner at Clonmel before clipping heels and coming down at Listowel last month. He was travelling well that day and looking for a gap to mount his challenge. The drop in trip today should suit and underfoot conditions will be right up his street. Granted some more look in running, compensation may await.

Tip 4 - 4:38 Yarmouth - Pergola
Finished second by half a length last time out at Windsor and comes in here off an unchanged mark. The winner of that race then went in again to help confirm the form. Got her maiden win at Epsom in July, with the fourth home that day winning their next two races. Ground is likely to be testing but breeding suggests she should have no worries with that.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
