Tip 2 - 2:40 Newmarket - Lady Of Spain

With a couple of more exposed horses at the head of the market it might be worth taking a chance on the unexposed Lady Of Spain to improve past both of them on what only be her sixth start. Not that there has been anything wrong with the other five, unbeaten in four starts on the all-weather then took her form to a new level on turf. It will take a great effort to stop her making it six from six.

Prince Of India and Elmonjed do battle once again after a decent skirmish at York in a Listed race in September. The latter was two pounds to the good that day and beat his rival by 1.75 furlongs. What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
