Our Staking Plan
Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.
Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.
Tip 1 - 2:07 Ludlow - Kit’s Coty
Kit’s Coty finished third in this race last year only beaten ¾ of a length, so getting in this year off seven pounds lower certainly catches the eye. Her performances weren’t great in the early part of the year, so the wind-op she has had probably explains those lackluster runs. This seven year old has only five attempts over fences to her name, so even without the wind surgery there is probably room for improvement in her off this mark.

Tip 2 - 2:30 Nottingham - Bay Breeze
Conditions are not going to be to every runner’s liking today at Nottingham, so we plump for one who has seen plenty of different conditions and doesn’t mind a bit of cut in the ground in Bay Breeze. The experienced six-year-old won this race last year on soft ground and produced a promising second last time out in first-time blinkers. They are on again, and while not the same horse of old, won from marks of 68 and 67 in the last year, so 69 shouldn’t hold any fears.

Tip 3 - 3:00 Nottingham - Ashdown Forest
Plenty come into this race in good form, but none have the same kind of scope for improvement as Ashdown Forest. Ed Walker’s gelding looked like an out and out stayer on handicap debut last time out, shaping as if this step up to a marathon trip would suit. Soft ground also looks ideal and he could be a level above these, having run a solid race in a Class 4 last time and now facing rivals stepping up from Class 6 victories.

Tip 4 - 3:07 Ludlow - Yes Day
Despite not finishing any of his last three runs, Yes Day still looks a strong contender here. He fell on the home stretch when in a good position in his first run for over four months last time out over course and distance, so if he can put that behind him then he should be able to compete again. The seven-year-old has already won twice this year, over 3m1f and 3m6f, which breeds confidence.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?
The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch. We've also got a page specifically dedicated to Cheltenham Festival live streaming.
