Tip 1 - 1:40 Ayr - Cisco Disco
Ayr is like a second home to Cisco Disco this year, having already raced nine times here in just five months, and crucially won on three of his last four starts. Two of those were course and distance, including the most recent when he wasn’t remotely hampered by an 8lb rise and a step up in class, and so going up a further 4lb whilst coming down a grade today shouldn’t prove an issue.

Tip 2 - 2:55 Thurles - Mythical Rock
Mythical Rock ran a huge race last time out, finishing third in similar conditions at Bellewstown despite having no luck in running. Prior to that, he’d been hopelessly out of form, resulting in his mark tumbling from the high-70s to the mid-50s. He’s clearly thought of as better than he’s shown, having gone off favourite for a Ballinrobe handicap while in the doldrums. Granted a clearer passage today, he should go close.

Tip 3 - 3:40 Bath - Al Za'ama
Very interesting newcomer related to some smart types from a top yard who knows how to get one ready. Those at the head of the market haven’t really shown anything of note on the track and don’t set the highest of standards, Al Za’ama has the talent to win this as long as he is ready to see the track.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
