Tip 1 - 2:05 Yarmouth - Fillyfudge

A two-time course-and-distance winner around here, Fillyfudge looks by far the best choice in this small field on her return to flat racing. Recent flat form of 343-5, combined with an impressive second in a hurdles outing in March, stands on its own merit and this being a grade below most of those runs should make things a bit easier for the six-year-old.

Tip 2 - 2:30 Punchestown - The Other Mozzie

The Other Mozzie is rated 145 over fences after impressive wins at Naas and Ayr earlier in the season. Back in a handicap hurdle off a much lower rating of 119, he’ll take a world of beating. Gavin Cromwell hasn’t been having the best time of things lately, with just four winners from his last 60 runners, but the selection here is too well-treated to ignore.

Tip 3 - 2:40 Yarmouth - Glenridding

After winning a handicap here at the back end of last year Glenridding has mostly been seen on the all-weather where he is yet to find success. His last two starts on turf have suggested he will enjoy the extra distance, and he should be seen to much better effect than when running on soft ground. Conditions look to be in his favour here and he should go well.

Tip 4 - 4:25 Yarmouth - Royal Velvet

Appeared to find her level a little towards the back end of the season and returns on a mark of 77, which could be within reach if taking the next step from three years old to four. Won first time out last season before triumphing over course and distance twice in mid-July. With no rain having come for some time, the good to firm course is like a mid-summer track so should be right up her street. Booking of Oisin Murphy is a positive.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
