Tip 1 - 2:03 Worcester - Neigh Botha

It’s been a mixed 12 months for Neigh Botha, with two wins and a few other strong efforts mixed in with some disastrous runs - including two where he didn’t even finish. However, the good news is that the eight-year-old has finished second in each of his two most recent chase outings, both of which were at this grade, and has the ability to challenge again today.

Tip 2 - 2:25 Salisbury - Island Bear

There is plenty of market support for Victorious One, one of two horses who have made their debuts before today, while there is a 330,000 guineas debutant also on show. Our choice, however, is Island Bear, who was a clear second on debut and ran a little greenly at the start. The two-year-old’s sire was a multiple Group winner. He went off at 7/2 from 12/1 last time out, suggesting some confidence from connections. If all goes well, he should be in contention.

Tip 3 - 2:33 Worcester - Carriglux

Carriglux’s win in a Point to Point in March might be the key piece of form in this race, where he give weight and enjoyed a nine-length beating to a subsequent winner who is now rated in the 90s. That means he could be thrown in here and will take some stopping if he handles this track better than he did last time out at Cartmel.

Tip 4 - 3:15 Carlisle - Hot Cash

Things haven’t quite gone to plan for Hot Cash since making a winning debut last season. He was sent to Deauville for a Group 3 on his second start but failed to deliver a blow. The form of his novice run in March is interesting in the context of this race, though. Despite finishing third, he was close up behind Circus of Rome, who’s now rated 86. Hot Cash was conceding seven pounds to that rival, so there could be plenty of mileage in his mark of 85, with a recent Haydock runner-up finish suggesting his turn may be near.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
