Tip 1 - 1:25 Killarney - Felicity Smoak
Felicity Smoak recorded an impressive second on her hurdling debut two weeks ago in Tipperary and is one of only three in this race with any such experience. The three-year-old arrowed to the front in a flash as she approached the home straight, and whilst she couldn’t dig out a victory at 12/1 then, today represents an easier task.

Tip 2 - 2:05 Haydock - Biplane
Biplane has been running as though this step up to a mile will suit. She’s repeatedly been outpaced in her races of six and seven furlongs, before running on late in the day. Despite the fact that her two most recent wins have come over sprint distances, it could be that this seven-year-old just doesn’t have the gears for it any more. She’s won over a mile in the past, and with her handicap mark slipping to an attractive-looking 66, today could be the day to strike.

Tip 3 - 2:25 Newbury - Sonic Pioneer
Sonic Pioneer is one of the more exposed three-year-olds in this, but if he can put the latest behind him, he should be there or thereabouts. The position of 10th is a bit misleading from last race, as he still had place chances going into the final furlong before being hampered and eased home. Prior to that, he had form figures of 12922. Unexposed on turf but was a good second to a decent sort at Haydock in May and could find conditions to his liking.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?
We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.
A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time.
For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
