Tip 1 - 2:05 Market Rasen – Exclamation

Despite finishing fourth of six on her rules debut last month, Tennessee Orange rode well for the most part and a step down in grade could suit her here. The five-year-old is a previous point winner and just four in the field today means she should have every chance, especially given her experience over this distance.

Tip 2 - 2:15 Redcar - Rain Cap

There’s not a great deal to like about many of the competitors in this, but someone has to win it. We think it could be the experienced Rain Cap, who has been in reasonable form this season without winning. Two seconds and a fourth from four starts has shown he’s been in the mix. One of those seconds was over course and distance and adds to the course-and-distance win the only other time he has competed here at the distance.

Tip 3 - 2:30 Ascot - Fitzella

The favourite Signora has turned into a heavy favourite for this, probably on the back of the performances of Aiden O’Brien’s other two-year-olds rather than her own form, so she is well worth taking on. The well bred Fitzella looked a much better prospect upped to six furlongs for the first time, and looked professional in her win. She poses a real danger to the favourite here.

Tip 4 - 3:05 Ascot - Babouche

Babouche looks like a top-class sprinter in the making. She’s already landed Group 1 honours, winning the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh as a 2yo. She’s clearly trained on, based on her impressive victory over Whistlejacket last month. Likely favourite Shadow Of Light is a classy sort, but he has to prove his effectiveness on ground this quick, and could struggle dropping back in distance to give three pounds to Ger Lyons’ filly.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
