Tip 1 - 1:15 Newmarket - Elwateen

The bare figures of Elwateen’s form don’t suggest she’s up to much, but the fact that her second through fourth races in her career were all Group 1s suggests connections thinks a great deal of her. Ran with credit over course and distance to finish fourth behind 117-rated Desert Flower in May. What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
